Oil pressure drops to ZERO at high RPM!

My NSX show lots of oil pressure at idle and at mid-RPMs but at WOT from about 6000-8000rpm the pressure slowly drops to almost ZERO on the stock gauge! This can't be normal

The only oil-related upgrades ones are a Dali pan, external oil cooler with -10 lines and Comptech high volume oil pump.

Any ideas what might be causing this low pressure at high RPMs?

The "only" oil related upgrades!! You revamped the system. Sounds like you may have your oil cooler routed reversed. You MUST feed the bottom of the cooler and exit the top. Check that out. Also you may have caused an air pocket or scavenge problem with your setup. If it is easy bypass the oil cooler with short lines and see what happens.

I will take a look at the hose routing. I am using the Comptech oil filter adapter....do you know which port is the feed and which is the return....I don't remember seeing any indication about this during the installation.

From reading the other threads I would like to shim the pressure relief spring, replace the sending unit for the gauge and install another oil pressure gauge. Where is the best place to tap in an oil pressure sender for an aftermarket gauge?

To get some real life experience about hooking up an second oilpressure gauge, have a look at ed's website, he's been there, done that. He goes by username NSXBuilder, but i'm sure Larry can tell you where and what.

I don't understand

I didn't know there's a difference.

I tried his website but it is down. Where have others installed oil pressure senders?

You can tap into the oil pressure sender taper thread bore for the dash light. That is the one on the oil filter pedestal.
