Does anyone know of a good and cheap source for O2 sensors? I am 99% sure that mine are the cause of the check engine light coming on
I will know for sure tomorrow, but I am tired of of getting ripped by the Acura dealers parts costs.
Also I have just purchased the car so I have not had time to get my hands on a manual is replacing them a job a normal bonehead can do or am I stuck with the dealer or shop with a lift.
Thanks
Jim

I just had the front bank O2 sensor replaced
a couple of weeks ago. Pd. $202 for just one sensor. The honda part. Also cost me about
1 1/2 Hour of labor. You should check the faq
for a description on fault codes. Then you will know what's giving the code before you go into the dealer. Here's a link with a pretty good listing of the fault codes. www.batauto.com/acura/88-5991-96vlin.html
Good luck

Thanks for the invite, I wish I could get the time away from the office for dallas but bad timing. This is my first NSX and it is a bit scary not knowing much about it, the good thing is that other than the damm light and crappy stereo this car looks and runs as if it were in a time capsule
Regards

I checked the BAT site and could not get a good picture of where to find the box so that I could decode the error. The picture in one sense looked like the box was on the left about calf level(center consol) but it also looked like the box had pointers to the right side just forward of the door, so rather than take a chance of shorting something out I just stopped and left it alone.
I found a few sites selling the OEM sensors for as low as $80.00
But I wonder if I can get at the buggers myself once I determine if the codes are in fact the O2's ??
Thanks
Jim

You don't like the stereo? I think mine sounds good. On a understanding note I was where you are for the last 2 months. A clutch here, O2 sensor here, Brake pads, and
not knowing anything about the car. Stay tuned to this board, the people here will get you up to speed fast. Read the FAQ and stay and ask the questions. Learn to use the search button or LUD will give you a reminder. I am learning with you.

Hi Jim, check here, save you expense of manual http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/Reference/1991_svcman/1991servman.pdf
There's a good troubleshooting section, starting approx page 203
p.s I work in Scott's Valley, not too far from you, maybe hook up for lunch one day, compare cars & notes.
