do you need to replace the O2 sensor as part of the routine maint.?

If not, when should I replace it in term of mileage or time period?

How can you tell if they need to be replaced?

Are there two and how much?

Thanks. :)

you'll know when they go bad, the car will be hard to start...run like crap...check engine light will come on...etc.
They are $200+ from the dealer and you should ONLY buy the DENSO brand(IMHO). There is a much cheaper ones made by other companies, but they fail and if you wire it wrong(NGK brand-- YOU have to wire it) it MAY damage your ECU.
link to great deal on O2 sensors

Remember, DENSO brand is OEM.

Thanks for the info. How many do I need?

My car is running ok. So I guess I don't need one yet.

The Acura parts list (as shown on some Acura parts ordering websites) show 2 different sensors for the front and rear sensors, at 2 different prices. Not sure how this works into it, but the Denso part at the link above shows only a single part. Maybe the cable is long enough for both?

oops...I was using the year of MY nsx as a basis for my post. There seem to be different part#'s for the different years, although while looking up newer models on the site in the link, they describe each O2 sensor as left or right...but if you click the link for either and read the part#...it's the same. I'm assuming it's the same sensor for both sides, but there seem to be different sensors for the different years.
