NSXPrime anger managment course?

Very few people know that in that now-famous picture of him, Dr. Phil isn't wearing any pants. ;)

LOL, that explains his smile! :)

I like the sound of Dr.Martin's Anger Management Course. I don't have an anger problem, but can I join in too?

"Crack-Corn" referred to White People and originally meant the White natives of Kentucky. It was apparently a variation of "corncracker" which meant a poor white farmer and was apparently applied to the natives of Florida, Georgia, Kentucky or Tennessee possibly because of their dependence on corn or maize. It is a derogatory term for poor white trash and has been since the Civil War.

Man, I jus' joined this here party, and I's already getting slammied. Glad to larn the meanin' of "Crack-corn" tho....most us Kentuckians is too dumb to know we's po'.

Just kidding. Actually, I see another problem that struck me as more surprising than the anger (much of which seems to be directed toward ParisModel). That problem is the lack of communication skills exhibited when people post. Every internet chatroom or bulletin board seems to have a large percentage of people that can not complete a sentence. NSXPrime included , though the percentage here DOES seem lower than average. There are LOADS of ways to make mistakes in the english language. Typos, slang and misspelling of difficult words I can understand, but there is some SERIOUSLY bad grammar out there that gets in the way of comprehending the postors' (posters'?) thought processes.

OK, I'm off the soap box.

Thank you OutbackKY for participating in our group discussion on anger. Your contribution is valued and your observations on poor communication & grammar in chatrooms is quite correct. However, you did overlook one other common problem in today's online communities known as the '7/16" rule'. Let me show you what that is. :D

And as I said on my show once "Awareness without action is worthless."

Your friend for happy living, Dr Phil. :D

If you simply drive your NSX for a while you should be calmed down and happy again. :D

Hi

Then I have more trouble than any of us. The NSX is ready to go, but I will not have my license back before november. And by then the NSX will be all tucked in for winter. :frown:

Regards

Hi

That was one of the reasons I posted, because I thought that people was getting too "snappy" and that is never good.

How about we have a sleep over and then hold the subject of your frustration down with a blanket while others take turns swatting them a bar of soap wrapped in a towel. Everyone gets a turn! Great idea for next expo

Lud could add a SQL Server filled with VINs and when a user signs on they must enter the VIN from thier car and the Server matches the VIN to the user and to the valid list of NSX units.....no more ricer kids flaming away

But that wouldn't solve the problem of NSX owners with nasty tempers and few social skills.

And discriminate the none-US people?? Our VIN-numbers are not recognized in USA! Discrimination is worse than having nasty temper and few social skills... Let's start about that now!

I have both dealt it out and taken it in the flaming department. Here is my defense, for what it is worth:

It seems like any time I have an actual opinion, or are posting about an actual experience, someone with a differing opinion or worse, no actual experience (few things bother me more than those who don't, telling those who do what is what) wades in to flame me out because I am WRONG! And not only am I wrong, but I need to get over myself! or get a life! or whatever is being spewed at the moment. I am very careful to stay out of discussions about topics on which I have no actual experience. I try and inject a little humor into my posts, usually at my own expense, but it doesn't seem to help much.

Occasionally, I have disagreed with someone's assertion. When this has happened, I try and be the least offensive possible by saying something like "I disagree with the one poster who says..." or something to that effect. I try and take the mildest tack possible, to disagree without being disagreeable. But usually even this mild expression of disagreement attracts critcism. I have been called all sorts of names. Okay, if that's the way they want it...except I usually don't indulge in name-calling or trash talk. I try and keep my flames "on topic". But lately I have been toning down my rhetoric.
