Hey guys..kinda new here and hope I get some help on this. There is an club "nsxclub.ca" isn't there? From what I think it's not Prime here, but why is the url directed to this Canadian Forum? Confusing the crap out of me. Where to sign up? What am I signing up to? Does it even exist? Please shine some light on this, so I can look further into it's membership etc... thx!

YES! there is a club. You can join read this thread:

http://nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=85856

Where are you located? (you haven't filled out your info, please do so we know where you are and a bit about you!)

Hey Red.."Stu" is it? I am from Van BC. Seems like most of you are out East correct? I would still enjoy being a part of the club, and I will fill out my application as soon as I get back to North America. In Japan right now. The T-shirt would be something proud to own aswell. Any possibilities of events out this way in Van?

We incorporated the Club Federally specifically to allow for chapters across Canada - we would love to have a Van chapter - there are tons of cars out there. We're hoping someone would champion this and help us set up a BC chapter - You the man!

I would love to pitch in no doubt. As for leading it, I don't think I would be the person for it. I have pre-commited myself with things I cannot back out, and I always follow-thru with what I start with. I'm sure you will understand when I state some of these...JUst got married and preparing for the wife to come to Canada for the first time(Can't get out of this one even if my life depended on it! LOL), getting ready to go to flight school, work (can't get out of this one either or I won't have a car to meet the requirements of being a member). My new business is at www.bobbleheadtoy.com. Unless someone buys like a million of these, I may still have to put time in marketing it. If there is any possibilities of me co-piloting this (events liason 'cuz I am not technically inclined enough to give technical support), I can definitely do this. I have posted in the Vancouver forum, proposing an exclusive newsletter for the Van Nsx'rs aswell. I could start something like that if it's in the club's interests.

I think a good start is an emailing list - we can help see if there's anyone else who can help you out - its about a few get-together dinners, and drives, and other stuff that Membership means - like discounts, etc. Then you can explain the benefits of being part of the Club and having insurance so nobody organizing it will have any problems if something goes wrong (car hits something during an organised drive, etc.) Also, when we order shirts (nice coolmax golf shirts) with club logo on them costs are lower since we get more, we're wondering what to do for '08, thinking about fitted luggage... It would work if we could order enough to justify making it ourselves in China and shipping it over.

Any way I can help out on finding manufacturers? I am over in Asia quite often and have some good contacts on "Made-in-China" products. I don't want to reck things you already have in place like the t-shirts, but if there's a new product, I can source out some companys that may meet lower pricing demands. What did you have in mind? Me being Chinese and I speak both languages Cantonese(HK) and Mandarin(CHN), so language is not a factor and it does play a role in negotiating prices. As of now, I am still in Japan, and will be back in Hong Kong, China in Dec-Feb. I can take this time to check further into the companies, if we were to source them out now. Let me know how I can help :) Better now, 'cuz when my wife gets over to Canada, I may be coming over here in Asia less often.

We'd like this: it's the fitted luggage they used to make specifically for the NSX.

Hey, I didn't even know we had a nice web portal.

The logo is great!

Is it me or the ones on our shirts look distorted, as if the logo was captured in mid-spin?

LOL..is that pic a sample of what wants to be made? The skills trait in China now is up to AAA quality and can definitely be done! lol...It wouldn't be a counterfeit if some extra leather straps were added. And having said this does not constitute any means of wanting to produce anything from an illegal stand point, just to states the facts ofcourse. :)

Sorry on the website guys, that's something that I've been tasked to work on, but have been ridiculously busy because of work lately. That's why it just points to this forum for now, but it will (soon) have a lot more information about the club/discounts/events/membership benefits etc. on there. I'll let everyone know when that's online.

The logo on our shirts are a little different. Rick intentionally rotated it slightly to give it that effect. I made a somewhat modified version for the website...

Arshad has a red supercharged NSX.

Arshad, if you need help I run a pretty big forum myself.

I actually prefer your logo (sorry Ric), too many people asking me what happened to the embroidery!

Thanks for the offer John! Actually, setting up a forum wouldn't be difficult but I don't think there's any point in having a separate forum when we can just chat here in the Canadian section on Prime as we get a lot more traffic here. I've got a very basic layout done for the site already -- I just need to put together the content.

My bad Arshad. Forgive me as I am kinda new here. Still getting to know ppl :( Maybe later you can spare some advice on the SC, as it may be in plans for my N.

Not a problem dude. We have a great community here with lots of knowledgeable people so ask away! The best place to ask questions about superchargers is on the Forced Induction forum on this site. Everything you ever wanted to know about superchargers and turbos on the NSX is there!

Yup! Been on there quite often thx..but i'm still not comprehending half of what is being explained. Maybe it's cuz my interests in cars is strictly the driving experience and not the technical side of things. I can, and in the midst of building my own flight simulator (electric motion), and that seems way easier for me to understand for some reason. After 530 buttons and 1km of wiring, I have a better chance of getting that completed in full working order, than preventing a SC blowing up my Nsx :) Will be surfing that forum more, just so I can add those extra ponys!

They stopped making the luggage 15+ years ago, so I don't think anyone will be upset - besides, I'm not sure the combination in the picture is practical today. I'd assume different colours (not so 80's) and possibly bigger bags and one being a backpack.

We'd measure and figure out the specs and then need someone to make three to four odd shaped bags and then we'd make 100 of them.

Best advice on anything like an SC or Turbo (from a guy who races cars and his close racing buddy is on his third this year - second engine rebuild).

Find a shop (preferably near you) you trust, ask them to give you what they have the most experience in installing, tuning and maintaining. Then have them give you only 80-90% of what they feel the "safe" amount of boost/performance is.

Durability beats the hell out of a broken car you can't drive, and it costs less too!

Thats why I don't have an SC in my street car:tongue: I also like not having it crushed or losing my license:redface:

Stu is talking smack - my CTSC has been FLAWLESS - no hassel beyond what Stu has had with his stock engine. I do not expenct this to change.

Yeah, but you also run respectable boost and aren't out to see if you can push it to 700 hp for YouTube!

What I'm saying is that if you become a boost addict its a quick way to new engine!

Yeah, there seem to be two trains of thought re boost.

1. If you want 50% more power but are not into the hassels of tuning, basic CTSC/

2. If you want 60% or more more power, everything else.

Last night, Arshad asked me if I regretted my CTSC.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! IT ROCKS!

Would I get it again? Hell yeah I would.

Would I get it again today?

Not sure. LoveFab Turbo would be very high on my list, but Im not 100% certain that Id feel that the extra power (and $) would be worth the significantly increased hassel after I had it.

For someone who has a zero tollarance for hassel, the CTSC is perfect for me and brought my car from 911 Carrerra speed to 911 TT speed really easily.

Agreed. It's not the cheapest, and it doesn't give the most rwhp, but it's install and forget. You get more low-end torque and a decent amount of additional power with excellent driveability.

I thought it was install, hope to forget, tune, tune more, forget, tune, then forget.
