I think it is probably time to start planning for our next meeting. Last year was amazing and the turn out was spectacular. I think we had over 20 cars there. Love to do it again this year.

What do you guys think? Early DEC still or maybe Nov? Thoughts? Suggestions?

Here are some of my thoughts.
1. Golf again at Bella Colina if possible. It was amazing.
2. Rent a dragstrip for a couple hours and run our cars
3. Go Carts
4. Another long country drive... no rain this time..

Pencil me in this time! I'm good for steps 2, 3, and 4 (my golf game isn't worth step 1) PLUS 100 on the Sebring idea

My wife wore the 2010 shirt TODAY!!!

The Chin Motorsports event is Dec.10-11 at Sebring. Absolutely we could do something around/with that event.

There are some great golf courses around Sebring. Golf/social/parade laps/track event lunch/dinner Saturday. Drive to Sarasota early on Sunday for brunch?

For those of you who have ridden in NSX-RAY, it has a new suspension and new setup. With John Dean driving we SHATTERED the SCCA TTU track record at Sebring last Saturday. Old time was 2:18. We turned a 2:12! Passed all the brand new GT3RSs, Ferrari's, Corvettes...like they were standing still.

I'm in. Sarasota Acura has offered to provide a buffet lunch if we would like to head there. I can also set up a trip to the Old Car Museum here in town.

Plenty of reasonable hotels and golf for those who want it.

What are the chances we could set up an autocross event there at Sebring and perhaps get them to allow us on the skid pad?

Sebring could be the center of the event with a ride to Sarasota for brunch at Gettel Acura on Sunday (I'll see if the museum is open then too.) Let's talk.

I am curious about Sebring also. Could we do a half track day or something? Parade laps are lame. Our drive through the hills of Orlando was much more fun that any parade lap would ever be.

I would be down for something in November or December. AutoX could be fun and would allow me to contribute to the community by making everyone else feel like professional drivers by comparison. No track driving for me, though. I would only further embarass myself (although it would be educational) but more importantly, I have to drive the car 500+ miles home on Sunday or Monday.

The buffet would be a nice. And I love car museums of any kind! Golf is a definite possibility and it would allow me to contribute to the community by making everyone else feel like professional tour golfers by comparison.

Guys, I'll look into an autocross for Saturday. The track will probably levy a charge for rental. We will need volunteers to set up the cones, put the cones back after Flabuf punts them halfway across the skidpad, runs them over etc.

Driving all the way to sebring and then only doing autocross seems silly to me. half track day would be more fun.

This trip sounds like it will be a lot more expensive than the last. Cost was a big concern last time for a lot of members.

I would still, be happy just doing what we did last time, but i am open for anything.

Depending on the date I would be interested in driving down from Atlanta.

I love the ideas of the go carts as well as the drag racing or perhaps an airfield event ;-)

Ok, ok, the gauntlet has been laid! I'm probably going to get my rear end beat for this but I'll bet a bottle of Burnello de Montepulciano that NSX-ray, who races on a nearly weekly basis, can't beat me by more than 2 (dang I want to say 3) seconds on a well laid out AutoX. 700 hp doesn't help all that much in a 20 yard straightway.

Bump for another INCREDIBLE drive to come!

I'm in for whatever happens. Track event at Sebring would be monumental. Sarasota has wonderful restaurants.

There is actually a killer semi private go cart track a 2 miles from my house just south of the Skyway bridge. Let me tell you, this track is great and their go karts are very well maintained 9hp honda models and are quite fast.

WS, tell us about your new suspension set up.

My attempts..

Hey Guys,

I have talked to several people via PM and most are requesting we keep the event in Orlando because it is central to everyone. We have people looking to come from South Carolina, Georgia etc.

I don't really see the point of driving all the way to Sebring when there is already a CHIN event going on there and I would think they don't want a bunch of NSX around messing with their track time that they pay a lot for.

So I am going to propose we keep it similar to last time. We all had a really great time.

Any get-together is fine with me. We did have a great time last time. And anyway, we out-of-staters appreciate whatever you FL guys are willing to put together.
