Hey, Does anyone that has purchased an early model NSX Bought an Extended warranty on the car? If so about how much does it cost? What kind of repairs are most likely
on an early model?
Thank, Dan

See the FAQ and this previous thread.

Look through the "troubleshooting" section of the FAQ. Pay particular attention to the sections on power windows and transmission (snap ring).

Dan,if I had a chance do things all over I would consider getting a warranty!I just purchased '92 nsx in july, and after paying $2500 insales tax,$2700 for 60k service including water pump/timming belt, now a/c went out i'm looking at another $2400 to replace evaporater!

Randall,

If you had purchased and extended warranty, how much of that would have been covered or help reduce costs?

NetViper -= 100% Stock EBP 2000 Civic Si =- Still looking to get an NSX, but at least I can live life at 8,000 RPM!

netviper,i'm not sure, but as a new nsx owner i'd feel more secure, what next to break?i wish that i,d spent more money upfront for a newer car that will probably hold its value longer.

I purchased a warrenty and it has already paid for itself. I too had over 5k in a/c repairs. The best thing about the warrenty I have is if you do not use it they refund you all that you paid. They do charge a 95 dollar admin fee if you request a refund. The total cost was 2500. They also let you make payments over a 12 month period with no intrest. As well they are reinsured twice over I was told.

BTW>>> Ken wrong avatar.

steveny, good info. maybe its not to late for me to buy one, what company did you use?do you have their phone #.

Randall spoke to the warrenty company today. He called me back to let me know that they no longer warrenty the NSX. I guess that it has become expensive for them to do so.
