OK, Halloween is over and you shoud be tired of smashing pumpkins! so let's get a GREAT turnout at the meeting this month!

The FIRST Thursday of the month of November is Thursday November 5th! That means the SoCal Monthly meeting is comming up!

As usual we are meeting at South Coast Acura in Costa Mesa

The dealership continues to support the NSX owners in the area, so they have asked us back.

This meeting will give us a chance to get together and just shoot the breeze and talk about up coming events. As usual SCA will be providing premier parking.

So let's plan on meeting at South Coast Acura at 6:00 PM Thursday November 5th.

South Coast Acura is located at 2925 Harbor Bl. in Costa Mesa. This is about 3/4 mi South of the 405 (San Diego) freeway on Harbor Bl. Just past Baker Street. On the Right.

Remember, they have said they will block off the front of the store so there should be lots of parking available!

NOTE!!!
The dealership will need an accurate count of how many will be attending so they can figure out how much food to buy. I am guessing about 20 or so. If there will be more they need to know!

Reply to this thread if you think you can make it, so the dealership can have an idea how many to expect and make dinner arrangements accordingly.

Thanks:cool:

I missed the last two months since I was at S2000 meets but I will be there in November, with brownies.

So, how many brownies should I make? With the time change and it being dark for this meet, I'm wondering if not as many people will show up. I'm guessing just one pan, this time.

I'm going to order the lens cover for the light inside my passenger side door, today. I hope there's a parts guy at the meet who can have it for me since parts will be closed.

Patty,
I'll take the whole tray for myself if no one show!!!

I'll make this one. I need to hit my quota of one or two NSX related meets a year.

Drove the NSX to work today,....Wind shielded a couple of bugs this morning.... planning to slam into a few more on the way to the meet....Good Times!

Don't hate,... the back story is that that shot was taken at over 100mph in San Fransisco during NSXpo! Our group of 50+ NSXes were given a police escort on the freeways and they (CHP) were prompting us to drive faster to keep the chain of cars together! Very sureal when your typical CHP is waving you by to go faster!!!

With that said, i do get the implications of the image...

It's true, even the local news channels covered the caravan of cars from their helicopter cameras,....very cool.

Steve was there, we can reminisce tonight!

Sorry about your ticket, that's why i invested in the V1! It's paid for itself several times over!!!

Apologies for taking the tread off topic.

Which, Steve? There are so many. I have the V1 now, too. Didn't have it when I got that ticket. If the radar detector I had then went off, I never heard it.

We had a smaller turnout than usual, but still a good meet. A few regulars and some new people I've never met before. I did the unforgivable, for an NSX owner! I was talking to a nice young man from Kentucky, about his black NSX, partially hidden from my view by another NSX, listening to how he came to get the car, his first car ever, two months ago. He said the previous owner sold it to him because the man's wife got so large she couldn't fit in it anymore. I said, something to the effect of, "Wow! The NSX has lots of room. She must have been really huge!" It was then that the young man told me it was a Corvette! He lives close to the dealership and has seen the meets and decided to come by and investigate. I hope he comes by next month, again.

Mike, in parts, hand delivered my lens cover for my passenger door that I had purchased over the phone. He's the one who picked up the pizza for us.

Bummer for Jason. On his way to the meet he hit a rock and ended up with a flat tire and some damage to his car.

Sometimes I think, "Do I really want to drive to this meet?" Every time I go I'm glad I did. NSX owners are nice people. And so was the Corvette owner.

I decided to go to the SCA in the last minute. Because I wanted to go to SCA with this NSX for at least one more time before before the new owner pick up the NSX this weekend. As the time gets closer, I am alway getting a little bit more emotional to say goodbye. It have a feeling it is going to hit me really hard when the day comes.

Unfortunately ran over either a rock or rubber exiting 405 Harbor on the curvy off ramp. The front tire kick up the debris and damaged the sideskirt. The debris made contact with the side skirt.

Ordered OEM sideskirt at SCA immediately, thanks Ed at SCA for getting the order in. The new owner is cool about it after seening the pics I sent, but I felt bad as he was so excited to pick up the car this weekend.

The car is almost stock now in terms of performance, stock exhaust is so...quiet and smooth, it is weird, almost enjoyable for having a quiet exhaust, at least for now until reality kicks in. It is now a truely a great daily driver, it has that quiet Lexus quality, virtually no sound at all cruising on freeway. It was first time in my life ever driven a car on spare tire, all I can say is that it felt like car had power steering.

A bit down last night, but it is what it is, could had been a lot worse. Erick once again came to rescue like always (the spare tire saved the day) and Patty's brownie gave me a lot of energy on a cold night.

Was nice to hang out with other NSX folks again. For what it's worth even though some folks are moving on to different cars, the group has always seemed pretty mellow to me and I am always stoked to hang out. Thanks for the brownie's Patty!
