NSX SoCal Monthly meeting is ON! April 5th 2007!!!

In. Now if one of you would sell me an '04+ Silver with <20K miles for $60K I could actually drive down instead of riding my moped.

(Actually this morning I put in an offer on the Silver one they have at this dealership. If anyone knows the sales mgr. or can otherwise help the deal along, I'd appreciate it.)

I got a 04 Silverstone/Silver, you can look but you can't have it. hehehe

I might show up. I have been looking to get some rims and my head is turning in circles on what to get. I have been thinking about TE-37 but I want the concave rears...

if you want TE with the concave rear, you have to get 19inch.

anything smaller is face1 style=flat spokes.

you should show up tonight. it will give you a lot of ideas on what direction you want to go with.
i have a set of BBS RS2 in silver, rear spokes are concave 17&18
also a set of white NA1 NSX-R wheels with race tires.
i also have a set of prodrives and advans coming in anytime now.
----------

who needs stuff?
im bringing one of the following.
NSX-R mats
CF shift knob
CF license plate frame
6000k HID.
Carbon fiber NSX-R rear Diffuser
NSX Quick release system for steering wheel

Yea, I didn't want to get anything bigger than a 18". I wished they still made the 18x10.5 with the concave offset for the stock body.

I am looking more at 5-7 spookes than multispoke (> 7) or mesh type. Which Prodrives and Advans are you getting in?

Steve, I will try and make it this evening. I am heading out to Camarillo for the night and a gig tomorrow, so probably will be in the Prius. No bad language now. Having said that... I want to attend the Acura 2007 American Le Mans Series scheduled in October at Monterey. What can you tell me about it?

Regards,
Manny

That car is sold.

Actually I'm picking it up tomorrow. It was a bit of an epic negotiation and I'd appreciate it if nobody call them or otherwise create waves with the deal.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

It was just brought to my attention that the tone in my last message may come across as a bit assinine (sp?). I totally didn't intend to sound confrontational or ass-like. The dealer and I have agreed on a price but I haven't given them a deposit yet. (I'm going to do that in couple hours) The car has been on their floor for months and I was just scared that someone else in the market for one of these would call them and try to outbid me. I fully I don't trust any dealer to keep their word if someone offers more cash.

I'm gonna do the paperwork and pick up the car tomorrow. Is giving them a deposit today enough assurance they won't sell the car from under me today?

Anyway, thanks for all your understanding. I've been shopping for the right car for awhile now and just don't want this one to get way.

Peace

It was a good meet. Sorry I had to leave early, I had a prior dinner engagement to attend. I will post a couple of pictures later today. I left the meet wanting to buy so much more stuff for my, curses!

Jim were you the guy Lurkin around the meets lookin for a silver nsx, that crashed his old one? Just tryin to connect faces with Screen names:biggrin:

It was a really good meet last night.

We should all give thanks to Steve Riter (Ca_AGNSX) for putting it together and the outstanding presentation he provided of his trip to Australia which included the F1 Grand Prix at Melbourne. He showed some outstanding photography and video. He spent a lot of time putting it together and trimming down the 1000+ shots he took to a very reasonable 100 photos including a video of a pit stop from his vantage point just above the pits. It was very cool.

Jose (HondaArrArrr) showed up with still more mods to his beautiful 2000 NSX. The big change this month was his interior. Here are some photos of the outstanding job he has done.

This mirror is a JDM mirror made for a RHD car, but looked perfect turned the other way.

Jose waited some time to get this CF piece. (Also, notice the screw heads... it's not shown here, but he's replaced all the screws under the bonnet that hold the fenders in place.)

Jason's (nsxsupra) car is stunning (and stunningly fast)

Tom (socalx) got the last set of Comptech's Powertec 13" BBK with the Indy calipers. These things look awesome. (I want a set.)

Front's... (nice center cap!)

Rear's...

This was not a posed shot... I don't know how I did this, but this is a great shot of Erick's car (evof575gtc). So surreal looking... and Vance (VanceHu) is totally cool!

Vance's (VanceHu) car is an outstanding example of an NSX-R converstion. (His NSX-R seats are sooooo comfortable.)

Here's Simo's (Diablo360) light weight go-fast.

yah, Mike and Hac both think it will be too much for my car, but I do not want the NSX-R replica, so big ass wing is the only logical choice. I do not want it to sit that high, so need to see if I can have machine shop cut and re-drill the mounting holes. Son told me he got alot more unwanted attention when he had that wing on (law inforcement). Therefore, I want to lower it to make it not as much an attention magnet.

To run a wing like that you should probably run a waaaaaaaaaaay more aggressive diffuser, like mine  but I kinda think a bigass wing would look okay on you car since you're lowered and have those sweet side skirts. If you want sometime we can try my wing on your car and see if you like it.

As far as getting more attention the wing certainly does that. My car is red though, with gold wheels, and a taitec diffuser, so I have the worst possible combo..... I haven't been pulled over yet, mostly because of my very very very careful driving, but i've seen many many many cops turn their heads when they see my car
