not to jack the thread...but if you put together an '09 calender how much would you sell it for??
Why is it that NSX-Rs are so wanted? Is it the looks or rarity or both. Whatever it is it seems to be the most wanted thing here on prime and I couldn't agree more!
is the na2 nsx-r rear diffuser made out of carbon fiber and painted berlina black, or some other type of matte satin black?
thanks
I'll have to dig them up but I've got pics of the NA1 Type R from a Honda brochure that had no antenna on the left q panel. i.e. completely shaved since it wasn't an option at all in the NA1R.
For some reason, I thought the NA1 / Series 1 NSX-R had these kind of 5 spoke wheels...(toy model shown for a better angle)
I might be flamed for this, but I never thought the NA1 R looked good. In fact I think it looks down right outdated. The white with the pop ups hides all of the cool lines and bumps in the front end, yet it shows the unflattering parts like that big bar that goes across the lower bumper. The rear end of a pre 02 is very very old looking and looks like its missing pieces from it. Like its a incomplete design. The white also makes the car looks narrower than it really is.
The NA2 R on the other than is pure SEX!!! I don't know how such small changes such has the vented hood, flush color matched head lights, different front bumper, lower rocker moldings, a more fuller lower rear valence with a diffusor with a taller wing, and tail lights that didn't look like it came out of the 80's would make such a huge difference in the way the car looks.
I'm just gonna have to totally disagree with you on this one.
The Series 2 Type R rear wing looks like an aftermarket piece from a "Fast & Furious" movie, the front headlights look borrowed from a Mitsubishi 3000GT, the new nose looks like it "hair-lips" up to clear parking curbs, and the "filled-in" lower rocker panels make the car look heavier.
I was just never a fan of the 2002 "face lift"...but I think the HSC concept looks killer!
Than we will have to agree to disagree. To me the NA1 R looks cheap, non purposeful, and cookie cutter. Nothing about it screams exotic. In fact it reminds me an awful lot like a S13 hatch back.
