NSX-R at entry list 24h race Nürburgring

heard some nice rumours.
The white NSX-R (licence plate OF-RD 86)
will be prepared next few months to race
at the 24h Nürburgring 2003.

The drivers will be the guys from the car magazine sport-auto.

Is the Clio battery you use (or used to use) a lightweight one? And if so, how much difference in weight (and performance)?

the clio battery is a crap high performance one

. I reloaded it with the help of the German gentleman and now it works again. I do not know until when...

ps: my seat of the pants dyno tells me that the recharging from a 5-serie BMW gave me other 80ps. But I could be wrong on this...

Maybe it is an idea to go to the Nurnburgring with several other NSX's when they are doing their test-runs. That is of course if the ring will be open to the public at that time.
I suppose the 24-hour race will be on the small circuit and not at the long ring. But it might still be nice to go there and have a small meeting.

surely they will test under race conditions..and that means saturday races at VLN (1 lap = 26 km) 4 hours races.
Possible are follow dates:

15.03.2003
29.03.2003
12.04.2003
03.05.2003
10.05.2003
31.05.2003 (24h race)

All races contents the northern loop and grand prix circuit

I dont know when they will start testing.
A meeting end of may by 24 h races would be great, but there are over 200.000 visitors.
So less place for our cars.
I dont prefer to come with NSX in this week.

And sundays, if the northern loop is open for everyone, its too dangerous, because most of these drivers are foolish.
Also there are a lot of motorcycles between.
Its unbelievable chaos sometimes.

I will give you news as soon I will know more. At 08.03.2003 there will be a test driving day for all race teams, entry the VLN long distance championsship.
Maybe I can see 2 NSX's...

The new NSX Type R will race the 24h at Nürburgring end of may.

Maybe some of your guys will be there too.

Yes thats right.
2 of these M3 will race too.
Also an OPEL Astra V8 DTM with 500HP.
The magazines wrote that over 250.000 people
will be there this year.
Together with some other races before 24 hours race there will be ober 1.000 race drivers there. New world record.

I'm sure that will be an unforgetable week.

My friend sent me a video from Japan of the NSX-R doing extensive testing at Nurburgring. They said it was just a tad slower than the Porsche 4s (this is from memory). So it sounds like the NSX-R will be fantastic for this track!

Yes, of course....
The sport auto magazine wrotes that the NSX-R is one of the best cars, they ever tested.

The German HONDA Sportcoordinator told me that they have the intension to let built up the car by Honda R&D: (Thats the factory built up also some GT-NSX and LM-NSX for Honda)
The car will get a killer performance after all.
Also one of the best drivers is probably on board (Armin Hahne)
I hope that I can present some pictures in march after the first test drives.

I'm sure that I can take a lot of pictures,
because I know all these guys.
