I must say I don't quite get the logic. If you are in a professional work place that is not private and you are supposed to be working, you probably shouldn't be on prime, period.
If you are in a work environment that is lax enough to where no one cares you are on prime, they probably won't care if a 1 inch by 1 inch photo also has a 1" by 0.2" girl in it wearing something that you could just as well see at the beach or on TV.
It's a judgment call, and although I wouldn't do it the same way I can see why Lud would do it the way that he does. He likes it on the cleaner side. For me personally, my line is a bit less conservative. Either way, not the end of the world.

No, I get his logic. For the most part this website is very work friendly/safe. In fact, if you are just on a standard thread, it doesn't look at that much like play/web surfing because there is a lot of text.
However, more importantly you have the ability to control this content by staying away from questionable threads or any thread clearly labeled NSFW. But when someones avatar has potentially questionable content, there is no way for you to steer clear of it to keep it work safe. In other words, you could be on a thread about puppies and kittens and then if 91 X posts, then his avatar with a half naked chick pops up and you have no control over that.
Note there are threads (like this one) with full sized pictures and they don't have to be censored. That's because I think it's less about the actual "content" and more about the "control" that a user has in avoiding such "content". With avatars, the user loses that "control". That would explain why as long as a picture is in a thread or NSFW labeled thread then it's ok, like this one right here:

The pictures here "content-wise" are much more egregious than a tiny avatar. However, a user can clearly avoid that thread, whereas with an avatar they cannot.

yeah, that was one incredible day in San Diego a few years ago...It was supposed to be a calendar photo shoot, but the calendar never came out..
There was a thread on here with much more pics from this day, but I can't find it:frown:
I have some pics somewhere in a hard drive or computer somewhere, I'll have to dig'em out a post them someday...Most of the pics are stored in my spank bank though...:tongue:
