I didn't know where else to put this.... but I had a guy claiming he was going to put a twin turbo VQ35 in the back of a NSX. I was just wondering if this was at all possible? I also know that just like any car enthusiasts you guys are territorial so a Nissan motor in a Honda would be a great sin.... so I don't to get anyone riled up I just want to have some good info to back up my argument.

Yeah same here, very few stories of people doing engine swaps into an NSX from another manufacturer. The only one I have heard of was someone wanting to place an RL engine into their NSX because they wanted to play around with its bigger displacement. Not sure if it was ever done though.

I talked with an owner a few years ago that claimed to have installed an old F1 V10 in his car. I asked to see it and he always came up with an excuse not to.

u talking about the j motors? like the j35? That would be pretty cool..... ya the same guy showed me the pictures of that rotary z3 that guy did in japan (I'm a big Bimmer fan) and he wondered why I got mad that some one put a rotary in a BMW lol I read that other forum that was posted on here and the 2j wouldn't be right in the NSX it would throw the car off completely kinda like the people that put a 2j in a 90's vette I mean anyone can go take a motor and cram it into a car but it takes a real man to take what he has at hand and make it better imo
EDIT: that donkey's pissing me off now!

Yeah thats the one. J35 engine from an Acura RL. I was at Autowave and while I was waiting someone called and was asking for some details about a possible swap to their NSX. Not sure if anything ever came of it.

Donkey seems to be quiet on my end...only seen it a couple times today thank goodness...

ya I've been getting the donkey every so often..... the j35 twin turbo or pro charged would be nice when I had a 94 accord I wanted to do a turbo j32 swap

Is it possible? ANYTHING is possible given a blow torch and a welder.

Will it physically fit, will it mate to the transmission, will it bolt to the motor mounts, will the headers fit, yada yada. I seriously doubt it. It would be an expensive, time consuming project that in it's end is illogical on several fronts. The main problem being, whatever money saved putting a cheap motor in, will be lost in resale value when you sell car.
