I am just curious, what the are main similarities between the NSX motor and Acura Legend motor? Wasn't NSX motor originally based on the Legend motor?

No real similarities. The NSX motor is closely related to the Legend's only by way of the first generation Legend's (C27) block.

Thanks, it is very strange, there were 2 separate occassions that someone told me it is Legend motor, I definitely wasn't thrilled:mad: .

So basicly there is nothing similar between the 2? the 2nd Gen Legend motor is not a non VTEC SOHC version of NSX motor?

Yup. The 2nd Gen Legend's engine is quite different from the NSX's. The C27 is more closely related to the C30 and C32b than is the C32a.

A lot of people (sadly, Legend owners included) who think that the Legend and the NSX share an engine. :D

Excuse my ignorance, I'm not much of an NSX historian...

But has Honda or any other company ever run any motor other than the DOHC VTEC C30/C32 engine in the NSX platform? Prototype, race car or otherwise? Perhaps a turbo 4 cyl?

For example, in the JGTC series Toyota runs the turbo 2.0L 3SGTE 4cyl motor in the Supra instead of the heavier 2JZ.
