Hi Guys,

What do you think of organising a meeting with a nice trip through the low lands of Holland or High lands of Belgium in spring?

I'm in.

Can we set which cars are expected to show up?
Set limmit at CTR, that covers the S2000, or as long as it has wheels?

Mich

Gerard,

Great idea, count me in!

I think we have to limit the models to NSX, Civic Type R, Accord Type R and S2000.

I think it's easier to say that all Type R models (integra, civic, accord ...) S2000's and NSX's are invited. I don't see why integra  type R owners should not be able to join the "trip".

I think they got forgotten in the list ......

I thought so, but just wanted to post ...

It seems even a USA NSX'er might be able to attend our trip!

You're right.

It is like Michel said. I've forgotten to mention the Integra Type R. Sorry for this ommission.

Has a date been set? I'll be in Holland for a few days, 17-21 March.
I really want you to join us at this trip.

No date is set yet. But personally I think the time frame you mention, might be to early for Maarten and Bart. They have to fix their NSX's and I don't know if they will be ready then.

Secondly, the weather is a bit unpredictable at that time of the year. I was thinking of late April or early May. So we have time to figure something out for the the trip and so on.

But if somebody has a better idea or want the trip to be set earlier. I'll be your guest.

OK. March might be not the most convenient date, but to show our Dutch/Belgian hospitality, we can consider 2 trips for the people who have time in that timeframe?

So, I think we have to plan a trip in March and besides that, another one when all the NSX's are ready.

That way we can even double our fun

PS: There is a change we plan a trip with some of the S2000 owners to visit Fugel in Germany somewhere in March. Maybe we can combine this

Thanks for the email, Gerard. Yes, sounds nice. I would like to come.

I also have some info for all you guys. Somebody from the NSX club UK contacted me about their trip to the Nurburgring 25-28 March 2005. It’s a S2000 thing and my friend is going with his NSX. I will also go (NSX).
http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=129&t=250916
so a Dutch friend from Weert with a Lotus Elise and I will meet (don’t know the date yet) near Liege. I live 40 minutes from Liege too, so, then its motorway to Eupen, exit, drive through the hills to Monschau, and through the hills to the Nurburgring. Hills all the way, and all the way back (through the hills, or did I mention that already…?). We will be only one day there since its only 2 hours from Liege.

Do any of you want to come with us? We have not signed up or anything official, we will just turn up. We only have to set a date (sometime between 25-28 March). The main reason I’m going is to meet up with the British NSX friend and also the see the track for the first time, so it’s a casual affair.
You are welcome to meet up with us.

And there is something else, more for the serious driver too.
Every year some friends form a “Road Trip” for 5 days in Alsace. It takes us about 4.5 hours (from Belgium) to get there. The Grand Ballon (near Mulhouse in the Alsace) and other peaks there are full of motorcycles and we chase them. It’s an area filled with twisty roads. You will leave quite a lot of your tyre rubber there and your brakes get red hot. And we arrange to have no police or speed cameras in the entire area. And, yes, you really can catch and pass about 75% of the motorcycles (to their surprise…).
It’s not an NSX only thing, I usually bring my Cossie, some guys bring Lotuses, Alfas and Porsches. This year we have rented a big blue house for the 9 people. 23-28 April 2005. We keep it cheap, sometimes we stay in a camping with those big caravans.
It is for car-people only, no girls (unless the girl has a car too. There is one girl there this year and last year with a Porsche. And she is pretty fast too). Wives will only get bored/sick of the twisty roads, car conversations and the car museum etc.
So it is a car driving, car videos/dvds (we bring a TV and DVD/video player), car magazines, cars books, cars cars cars, trip. Sometimes we visit the Schlumpf museum etc.
If any of you want to come, you are welcome (but the blue house is full now). But there are plenty of other places to stay, I will help you if you want.
Please let me know…
Peter

Hi Peter,

Very good information. Perhaps I am interested in going with you to the Nurburghring.

Keep me/us informed when you have set a date.

Gerard

BTW The trip we are planning is for all Honda Type R's and NSX's only.

Sadly, no.

If it works out that something is going on during my brief stay, great. If not, no worries. I won't have that much time, a day at the most.

One of my traveling companions has some business to do while in Amsterdam, another is going to a wedding. I am coming for a brief vacation.

well it would be quite pricey to FedEx it, wouldn't it? hehe

you wrote "I am coming for a brief vacation."

Weeeell now. A brief vacation, eh? I'm sure we'll have to work something out. I haven't been to Amsterdam for years... anybody know if it's possible to visit Zandvoort? I've only ever seen it on film. Is there anything going on there on the 19th, 20th?
Or...a ride to Spa...it's a long way from A'dam...

Hi all,

I'm the webmaster for the Dutch Type-R club. I read about this meeting because Dimer had posted it on our forum.

It may be interesting to organize this meeting together with our Dutch Type-R club. All exclusive Honda models combined in one meeting...
