Its surprising how much a lovefest its been for the NSX. Any time I mention the GTR, its troll-city with the majority of that forum hanging from Porsche's sack. Either way, great to see the NSX love.
E46 M3 -> NSX for me.
Well, there is a reason for that. The NSX and 911 are the exact opposite of the GTR. There are so many people who think the hatred stems from the Nissan badge and that has NOTHING to do with it.
NSX-GT3
Light - Check (GTR-Heavy weight)
RWD - Check (GTR-AWD)
High revving N/A Engine - Check (GTR-Turbo)
MT - Check (GTR-Automation City)
Great feedback - Check (GTR-Astoundingly numb)
Small, low center of gravity - Check (GTR-Huge, tall, designer wants it to be heavy, his words)
Minimal electronics to aid driver - Check (GTR-
)
Usable, proportionate hp - Check (GTR-King of paper)
Attractive, functional design - Check (GTR-
)
That's everything that is important to ME in a sports car. The GTR is not one of those. Sorry to go OT, but people crying about the GTR haters need to stop. Some car companies get it and some don't.
I understand that I may be a minority, but don't write off the fact that I have significant reasons to love the e46M, NSX, and GT3 and have a pure hatred for the GTR. It is a super car for the everyday person; also quoted from the designer.
Alright.... my morning is going to get better soon. Sorry for the rant.
