NSX in August 2005 Automobile Magazine

The NSX is a bit like the SR71 Blackbird. Years ahead of it's time and still relevant.

One of my students in the drivers school at NSXPO 2003 is an Air Force pilot of the Blackbird (as well as of his NSX).

And, 25 years from now, I'm betting I still won't feel my NSX is old...it's a classic!

This was one of my main reasons for purchasing my 1991.
For some reason I'm paranoid of not being able to find a part for my "classic car." Being that they are almost identical, it will be a long time until parts are scarce.

I wouldn't be so sure. For the the '94 Green/Tan I'm currently driving, you can no longer get tan seatbelts. They changed it in '95, so that the '95+ belts don't work in the '94. That's just one example. Another is that OEM Ivory floormats are no longer available.

My experience with Honda's track record (NSX as well as others) seems to be that mechanical parts to keep the car running will always be available, but interior, cosmetic, trim, accessory, and other small parts that are non-essential to keeping the car running are not available after 7-10 years.

I guess he feels like a dork.

He writes an article about the demise of the NSX and in the week that the magazine hits the newsstands, Honda announces the NSX lives on!

I love it.

Letters in the October 2005 Issue

The October issue only had seven reader letters, but two were two about this piece. See below.

The second one was written by NSX Prime member JimK. Does anyone know if the author of the first one is on this site?
