He was just making a joke. It's something that has been going on for a while now between us (LBBP) and the the silverstone guys. I think they are a little jealous  .
I have a swedish magazine which is called "Auto mobil" from 2001. It has an article about Elton John called "Sportscar enthusiast". It talks about Elton's cars which are up for auction at Christies.
It does not talk about the NSX, but these was for sale at Christies:
1978 Aston Martin V8 Vantage
1984 Aston Martin V8 Volante
1985 ASton Martin V8 Volante
1987 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante
1956 Bentley S1 Continental Fastback by HJ Mulliner
1960 Bentley S2 Continental Flying Spur by HJ Mulliner
1962 Bentley S3 Standard Steel Saloon
1964 Bentley S3 Continental Convertibel by HJ Mulliner Park Ward
1975 Rolls Royce Corniche Convertible
1987 Bentley Turbo R 4 Door Saloon
1994 Bentley Continental Convertible
1997 Bentley Turbo R400 Coupe
1986 Ferrari 412 Coupe
1987 Ferrari Testarossa
1992 Ferrari 512 TR
1965 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 litre Roadster
1993 Jaguar XJ220
1963 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud III Standard Steel Saloon
1973 Rolls Royce Phantom VI Limo by HJ Mulliner
What is more importent is that the magazine has an article about Martin Høgberg's NSX and a Ferrari 328 GTS. Martin is here on Prime.
I would not mind having that XJ220 eventhough is is right hand drive.
I am not suprised that Elton John had a Silver NSX as it looks like he got an eye for quality
