NSX Crystal...can I buy yours??

The small (1/24?) crystal cars that you guys are describing are not part of the same series as the NSX that came as an official Honda part.

The Honda part must be 1/18 scale, because mine is almost exactly nine and a half inches long. (The crystal NSX.

...do not wait for an answer... I do not think they update the page anymore.

This is the contact person on the page (they are based in Switzerland) and his mobile number is VERY old: at least 2 years ago we swapped from six to seven digits MSISDNs (=number for GSM phones).

There's probably a certain point where someone would be willing to sell his.

Just like there's probably a certain point where you would be willing to sell your pewter NSX.

Hi Giuseppe, you are right, I live at less than 15km from Chatonnaye,

I am going to go there today to verify if this company still exists.

I hope that you returned well to home yesterday after our gathering.

This model, and many others, are pictured in the NSX Model List maintained as a part of the NSX FAQ.

PS: think that I can fool anyone by painting Kyosho models with some nicy shiny aluminum paint and saying that they are pewter?

I hope he doesn't mind me posting this but here goes. Bill Zachar, vice-pres of NSXCA, has an original Honda-part crystal NSX. It was given to him by a friend of his from Japan who was attending last year's (2000) NSXPO. I've seen it in its original box with Honda part number on it. It's beautiful. I don't recall the list price but $400 sounds about right.

They are no longer available, haven't been for years.

I've already turned down offers of $1000 for mine...

re: crystal models in 1/18
IIRC, there were a Porsche 911 and BMW (not sure which models) that were offered for about $50. I think it was from a BMW catalog (possibly Rocky Mountain) or even Imparts.

Lambo just issued a pewter 1/18 model of their new Murcielago. I saw some at their factory store in Sant'Agata... price approx $330-350 (rough conversion from Euro).

David,
regarding the link above (Magic Crystal), in October last year I was not able to find anything about them but now I found that the contact person has this entry:

Kaufmann Peter
rte de Payerne 45
1553 Châtonnaye

Tel. 026 658 02 74

Did you ever try to pass by? Maybe they are still able to produce the NSX!
