Dear Club Members,

During the past year, the NSX Club Bay Area Chapter has done quite a few things as a group, and what a great group of people we have! While we reflect back on the times we share together, we also like to invite more people to get involve in future planning process for upcoming 2006 events. More people, more ideas, more fun!

We would like to form a Bay Area leadership team that would be responsible for coordinating events in 2006. The team would have access to a working budget provided by the national club for marketing and activities

LEADERSHIP Committee:

- The expected time commitment would be 3-4 hours per month plus participation in the planned activities. (Sometimes more, sometimes less)
- The expected tasks beyond planning the events would be talking to sponsors, locating venues and helping to direct people at the events.
- Team members will serve for a term of one calendar year

If you want to keep the Bay Area NSX activities interesting and fun, here is your opportunity to have a say in what happens and make them the best they can be.

Hi Shane,

I just got my NSX and think it is great that you are offering people a chance to take a more active role in the club.

I can imagine it must be rough to do everything on you own, so I would like to volunteer to help out!

Nick

Shane, has anyone else stepped-up to the plate or is it just you and me?!

Just curious, how many chapter members are their in the bay area?

Welcome to the club Nick! Look forward working with you for the upcoming year.

I think, and this is only an estimated figure, that there are about 100 or so active NSX owners in the bay area. And most of them are extremely bright, highly talented, and OPINIONATED :wink:individuals who would love the democratic system more than a dictatorship.

Oh, and one more thing, remember these 2 names, Steve & Mike, we have few of them.

So only two out of a hundred people want to help???

If everyone wants fun and exciting events put nobody wants to pitch-in to help, it's very lopsided to the one or two people that would have to shoulder all the responsibility.

I think with just two people, it will be tough to plan/run monthly meets. Maybe we should consider quarterly meets only, at least until more people would like to volunteer.... thoughts everyone?

I am living in Arroyo Grande, CA. I'm in the middle of selling my home, and moving to the Pleasanton/Livermore area. Once I am up there and settled, I would be more than happy to help. Plus, I'm closer to Comptech.

ok, as usual, we have the list.

so far:

1. Me (randomharmony)
2. Nick (gfunk808)
3. Steve (makena88)
4. Steve (juejaimon)
5. ??
6. ??

TOLD u we have a lot of Steves (Mikes too)!
We should have our first committee meeting soon. "Democracy" is slowly spreading.

what exactly is this supposed to mean, shane?

thx,

Ahh, Mr. Opinionated  , it means no more going solo and shared responsbility! You should be part of the committee man, I sure like to have your inputs.

I hope our club can get more involve with the local communities. For Jan, I have set up a volunteering at the SF Food Bank. I know it's still early, but what do you guys think?

Sounds good.

Weekends are better for me, I'm located in South SF.

Could everyone private message me with their email addys?

Although I'm not part of the "official" committee, I can help out as needed. :)
