I decided to tile my garage floor about 6 months ago and never got around to cleaning the garage until this past weekend. So, here are a couple pics. I went with Motormat after seeing others posts because of it's cost and holes to allow drainage. I found a similar one on Ebay, but was worried buying from an unknown.

This stuff is very durable and looks great. It was easy to "snap" in place, but was time consuming in a 3 car garage. The NSX sits on it most of the time and 2 SUV's drive on it daily.

Damn you're organized!

...how about a few of the missus with the car on the new floor!

What was your square foot price?

What is the surface texture like? Seems like it would hold alot of items you wouldn't be able to sweep up. Do you have to remove the mats occassionally in order to get the dirt/fluids that are deposited? The looks are very appealing.

But what's that flag in the back ground?

I would like to know the square footage and costs if you are cool with that. I have been considering that same floor for my 3 car too. Additionally, now that you have it installed and have driven on it, etc., what are your thoughts re durability, ease of cleaning, etc. Have you rolled a fllor jack on it? Thanks.

I paid $2.60 per square foot. The durability is great. I expected to replace at least a few tiles already and they are all perfect. The surface is a little smooth but the holes help to give some grip. Vehicle tires do squeak some though. The small holes do help to hide debris that falls onto the floor. Clean up is easy...I've actually vacuumed and mopped it. You almost feel like it's too nice to drive on.

I am concerned that since I first posted this I've tried to visit www.motormat.com and their site is down. I'll try to call them tomorrow and hope they are still around to honor my warranty if ever needed.

...as for that flag...I needed it to cover my OEM hood...and can't find an NSX or Acura one I like yet.

I wonder how garage floors in the snow-belt would hold up. We get tons of road salt here which invariably ends up on the garage floor. Unless the floor paint is well maintained, the salt eventually eats away at the cement...

My garage tiles are holding up great here in the Midwest. They are so resilient to oil, etc. This is the second winter I've had them. In the summer, I just use regular soap and water with a mop. They look like brand new after I clean the floor. Sorry, but these pics are when the floor was 'dirty'.

I went with all charcoal color.

I made a mistake on the cost of Motormat. It was and still is $2.60 per square foot, or $52.00 per 20SqFt box and that includes shipping to you. I called Motormat (800) 980-4727 and they didn't even know their website was down. They are trying to fix it.

FeetFxr,

Your tiles look great!

Do the holes hold fluids until you clean them or do they actually drain somewhere?

The tiles had a waffle design underneath and water goes through the holes to the floor and evaporates. I suppose if you spilled or leaked oil, etc. you'd have to raise the tiles up and clean it...but NSX's never leak so no worries.

Thanks! It's a work in progress. At the end of last fall, I bought some paint but it got too cold to start painting. The walls are going to be two different shades of a medium silver (not gray). I'll post pics when it's done in the spring/summer.

with the windows and stuff.. the garge looks seriously more like a showroom... i can't wait to see the updated pictures!
