I'll probably show up between 9-10PM
i'll be there tomorrow night...in my lexus though. some rat bastard has been messing with my mailing address so all of my long awaited paper work for the nsx has been forward down to garden grove. however, if it so happens that the paper work shows up tomorrow morning, then i'll have the car insured then and there and will be out tomorrow night. hope to see all of you polar bears out again.
I wount be there for the next few weeks, gonna be cleaning the car on my sundays

Cause it is Chinese New Year on this Sunday and most of the Asian dudes need to be with the family tonight, tomorrow and Sunday as part of the tradition.
I stopped by for a few minutes and kids were setting off fireworks and then driving off. I guess there won't be many more meets to come if this keeps up.

i couldn't make it out tonight because i found out early on in the evening it was one of my friends's 24th birthday so i took him out drinking at santana row. btw, i saw you drove by on the strip, waved but i don't think you saw me. you should come out drinking with us. i alone can't handle all of the milfs, i'll need help.

People usually don't start show up until 9:30-10PM. However, I arrive about 10 minutes after 9PM; must have just missed you.
Agreed, it's only been the last couple of meets that kids started showing up in droves and doing what kids do.
It used to be much more exclusive (s2k's, NSX, 350z...) until the word got out... 
Sorry I didn't see you... BTW, I love driving down main street cause I get to hear my exhaust...

Fireworks? Yikes! If that's the case, i'm not sure if myself and another NSX would want to be in the middle of that scene. I was hoping to check out everyone's project as I wanted to share some of the Downforce products on the car. Oh well....maybe some other events in the summer.
NSX-Tuner, I came around 8:45PM, and the parking lot was PACKED. I couldn't find any NSXs or even S2000 at around 9:05PM...so I left.

it was unfortunate that some dum kids start screwin around the meet that has been going on for months and can be destroyed with a few bad events and then the popo will move in and end it....this def not what i wanted to happen
s2ki has a good relationship with milpitas pd and if anyone is coming out make a bad image for us stay away from our meet...
our meet welcomes others that are all grown up and have been there done that crowd and now just wanna chill and enjoy the nice rides....
this post has gone on various boards this morning to hopefully protect what we have.....we do value your participation

I would have agreed if I wasn't there when it happened. I don't think m-80s are apart of Chinese firework celebrations nor were some of the other stuff they shot off. Gary,Brian and myself were standing right next to the NSX's when a few kids from the road drove by jumped out of the car lit some firework and hopped in the car while it was going off to flee the scene. While during the entire time we were hoping none of the fireworks would land or hit one of the NSX's which was literally 10-15 feet away.

First off...
I'd like to thank you for reaching out to Prime early last summer. We've had some really great meets and had the opportunity to meet a lot of car enthusiast who share the passion and make new friends. I hope we (S2KI and Prime) can continue meeting together.
My fear is that these Friday night meets will only get worse as word spreads and before summer, we'll probably have to find a different meeting place or stop meeting all together. I seem to remember several meets ago that this kind of crap (burn-outs, load music, rowdiness , etc...) started to occur and continued to escalate every meet since. If this behavior continues into next Friday night, I'll probably stop going. :frown:
Now to counter this invasion and take our meets back, we could show up much earlier in greater numbers and completely occupy the parking lot... and/or we could put out the word that the popo are cracking down to scare off the trouble makers ... which is inevitable anyway.

Or... you could explain to them that you are trying to forestall just such an event, and ask them have a small presence for the next couple of weeks. :biggrin:

I liked hanging out with rhayward and the S2000 crew on Friday nights when I was in the Bay. Some of the Greater Sacramento NSXers and I are planning on making it to a few Friday night meets this Spring/Summer. Let's hope things get back to normal before then.
No need to panic people. It is Chinese New Years. M-80's are part of *any* fireworks celebration.

I hope you're right, but for the last month or so, things have been moving in the direction of getting out of control. I just hope things die down.

At SR (Santana Row) people were starting to have exhaust revving contests in the parking lot (at 9AM on Saturday morning) right below peoples' multi million dollar condos. I thought we were going to get kicked out of there for sure. We also had an incident where some lady (drunk at 9AM on Saturday morning) back up into this kids $300,000.00 Murcielago, then tried to flee the scene. Thankfully, things have calmed back down.
Around Chinese New Years, Fourth of July, etc. when fireworks are easily obtained, you're always going to get a few goofballs that will go overboard with their surplus. Hopefully after the holidays, when the supply goes away, such mischief will cease. But I'm right with you when you mention that you will no longer be attending if burnouts, racing, whatever flares up.

BTW, whatever happened to that black GT3 after he got pulled over a couple of weeks ago following the drive on Mines Road? Just curious.

Very surprised seeing lots of Evos, STIs. A total of two NSXs (well atleast before 10pm), and not a lot S2000, was kinda dissapointing, was really hoping to see lots of S2Ks, and couple more NSXs. But it was great to see Gary's S/Ced 05.
