No Torque 2nd and UP

I drove about 60 miles last night and all was fine. I got into my X today and noticed something that was very disturbing.

1st Gear was strong and tall but when I shifted into 2nd or higher, there was a float when I reved up starting about 4k rpm. It would like not grip or something like that and would rev up but there was no power increase.

I cant seem to figure out what it is. I need to have my service done but it could be due to that.

Any Ideas on what is going on? Looks like Goodson on Monday.

Sounds like your Clutch might be slipping when mine started to go 1st and 2nd where strong until I hit 3rd the tach would go sky high and I was going no where.

I agree with the above answers.

If the engine races and the car does not accelerate, it is your clutch.

I just replaced my clutch about 5k ago or so and never race it at all. I think it may be it but does that mean that it is a total replace?

Susan and her people should be able to tell you what it is. If it turns out to need a total replacement, maybe they can do so under warranty. I'm sure they'll do right by you.
