Well I did reinstall it but cleaning and regreasing did not work. I did try holding the switch full on and it does run both the starter and the engine until I let off on the key. Time to order another part. At least I learned how to R&R the switch...Thanks for the help and I will report on whether the new switch corrects problem once I have it to install.
I got the new ignition switch on Thurs and installed it yesterday and have had no problem since. Thanks all..
