Will Pwr said:Looks cool..but would I drop 40k on it...nah...especially not for a 91..TT or not...I would at the very very bare min get a 93 if I had too. 95 would be even better..and 97 would be idea because of the targa top option. I was debating getting a nsx a few years back, but my good friend that is also a Honda tech/nsx fan and owner told me not to get a 91..spend a bit more and get at the bare min a 93

I know and have seen too many really ghetto or classless people who own M3s. They aren't that rare, nor expensive, and BMW depreciation is fairly rough. BMW is the Infiniti of Germany, basically. And, the M3s out there, probably 80% are leases. For a $50k car, you can get a decent lease deal, especially on an older one and a lot of these clowns make an ok paycheck and room with someone, have no real furniture nor assets and spend their largest chunk of discretionary income on a car. They may split $1500/mo on rent and dump $1000/mo into an M3 to front like a big player. And that car lease is literally ALL they have.
On this board, is there anyone who DOESN'T own at least one other car?
Sorry, but M3 to NSX, this is just a different class of people here.
NsSeX said:For your information there are (roughly) 15k M3's in the US which would make it a somewhat exclusive car like the NSX.
AndyH said:(Q4) How many M3s with S54 engines in total were sold in the US?
(A4) Approximately 28,600 M3s with S54 engines have been sold in the US to date.

NsSeX said:I'm sorry but imo that statement is just as ignorant as those made by the bmw guys. For your information there are (roughly) 15k M3's in the US which would make it a somewhat exclusive car like the NSX. They also hold their resale value pretty (well maybe not as well as the NSX) but still good enough.
As to the performance department, I can say hands down a M3 will demolish a 91-96 NSX no problems stock v stock. The M3 is a extremely well balanced car that has exceptional handling, that imo is a close second to the NSX. I've read threads of NSX owners talking about passing so and so car and i've read M3 owners talking about the same thing. Doesn't prove anything except that the indvidual driver most likey was better than those they past.
Also, BMW's aren't that expensive? I'm sorry, but you must be some sort of multi millionaire for making that statement. A fully loaded M3 will cost you about 60k + tax& license.
I'll end my rant there.
And before people start flaming me, Just know this, I LOVE THE NSX and read my above post.
