My crystal ball told me about this six months ago:biggrin: An Japanese Article translated by ME lol
Looking forward to see some pictures of the prototypes they're talking about.

The article mentioned the prototype spotted looks like HSC modified car. It will be hard to compete with F430 (and it's replacement) if the next NSX is a front engine car.

The replacement will most likely have a 4.6 or 4.8L version of the same engine.nsxtacey said:ferrari will be making a v8 entry level car and the replacement for the 430 will most likely have a v10.

The QP also uses the same block with modifications, and it will be offered in a larger displacement (either 4.6 or 4.8L) version in the near future. This same block can easily find its way to the upcoming 430 replacement, as RD costs will remain less then grafting a whole new street V10.
Ferrari has a tradition of developing as few new engines as possible...case in point the basic V8 in the 355 derived from the same engine used in 308s 25+ years ago (and used in 328s and 348s). The new 599's and 612 both use variants on the Enzo's V12. There are other examples as well.
Based on this precedent, it is unlikely Ferrari would spend the capital necessary to create a whole new engine, especially when a 4.6/4.8L engine is both capable and (relatively) available.
