New volume knob is the wrong color!

Grr, not only did Acura order just the on/off button when I asked for a replacement volume KNOB, but now that my wife picked it up for me, I found out it's the wrong color!

Do they not make the black knobs anymore? This one is a sort of metallic dark grey, not black at all. Have things changed since my '95 was made, or did they just order the wrong part? (The parts department is closed, so I can't call and ask.)

Grr! I've been looking forward to a nice, unmarred volume knob for two weeks.

Don't know if the color has chahged from black to gray, but if it has, my suggestion is to keep the power knob & get the matching volume knob.

Heh, no, they gave me the power *button* that goes in the middle of the volume *knob*. I actually need both items.

As to what I assume you meant, I can't just swap the volume and tuning knobs out, because the rest of my controls are black too and it wouldn't look right.

Turns out the parts that let light through are also frosted in the one they gave me. Doesn't let as much light through as the clear lettering on my existing controls.

hmm...I'm guessing they ordered the wrong part. Bring your car and show them the difference between the pieces, hopefully they'll order a new one.

you received the 2002 part. you can see that clearly from the high-resolution interior pictures available here.

the same happened to me recently when i ordered this button for my '93 along with a few '02 parts. i was able to clean my old button, so it became a moot issue.

Yeah, it's the 2002 part, and they can't order the old black ones anymore. I either have to get some matching paint and very, very carefully touch up the little grooves the previous owner's ring left, or find a junker with NSX parts.

Anyone know a place to get parts off wrecked NSXes?

Or you can go the expensive route and swap everything with new '02+ parts.
