the door trim looks great would look good in contrast like in a Type-S how did you do that?

Silver vinyl over the centers looks good from what I can see. I just got mine in. I'll take pics soon and post. I think the needles will be easier to see once I replace the amber lens in the top of the cluster with a blue lens and plug those lights back in.

I own an autometer phantom I boost & oil psi gauge for my 91 Integra. I had a few goals in mind as far as the luminescence of the factory cluster was going to go. 1)I wanted cluster lights/various dash lights to math my active matrix display mp3 deck that had a brushed aluminum face with bright blue display. 2)I wanted my gauges in the day time to resemble the pretty orange on white of the autometers.

So to accomplish this I ebayed some of those white faced gauges sets for cheap. Then on a forum I spotted a real aluminum bezel insert (undecided if I'm going to use the bezel or not). You guys are lucky already having orange needles, I have basic white ones... so I brought in the phatnoms to the local hobby store and a nice old lady spend half an hour finding a solution with me. We wanted something that would react well with the artificial lighting but also an exact match in the day time. I found some model paint and some small paint brushes on sale.

The next stop to accomplish was having the autometers give a blue glow at night. I pulled out the basic bulb and ordered an LED bulb that fit perfectly off ebay for like a dollar. Have not made up my mind about using the indiglo or just letting all the dash gluster bulbs to be just like the ones in the gauges.

Sorry no pics right now.

Reviving a 4 year old thread here.

Does anyone out there know if these are still available anywhere? Or anything similar to them? I can't seem to find them. I'd like to change out my gauges / AC controls / etc. to blue lighting and I'm diggin' these gauge faces.

Afterthought: I have an automatic - this may make finding gauge faces a bit trickier. How tough is it to just change out the lighting in the instrument cluster to blue lighting? Can anybody give me a quick overview of what that would take? Thanks

Ok guys, here they are... what do you think? The polished aluminum rings from SOS are also just now installed. I like it alot. I think it looks more modern. Complement or flame away... I just hope you don't think it looks rice. Because that's NOT what I'm going for. Just more modern.

Now in this lit up version... the centers really aren't green like this. I'm not sure why it shows up like that on the camera.

Once they are installed in the car, and have the lights in the top shining down, the needles will show up better.

Yes, I would be interested in knowing the process also...changing to blue would certainly modernize the cockpit at night...

Wow, this revived an OLD thread. I actually don't have those gauges anymore. I really DID like they way it looked when the lights were off but as I matured a little I realized that when lit, that center glow and the needles looking so dark really did kinda ruin the look. Since then I've changed over to the type R gauges and never looked back.

If the center didn't light up in that neon green color, it would look MUCH better at night.
