New Exhaust

Jasma is not an exhaust brand, it is a jdm rating of the exhaust.

..basically if your exhaust has a Jasma rating, it's not too loud.

Here's my slap of reality...
It's your car and you enjoy however you wish, but not driving it to maintain its newness is bogus, IMHO. In a few years when you decide to sell it (and by the sounds of it, with all your restrictions and wife-imposed future children warnings it's a pattern I have seen on Prime over and over), the next owner will enjoy the newness of it and hopefully not give a frigg and drive the piss out of it --which was what the car was meant to do.

People who baby their cars usually drive hopped up Civics or 240's. People lucky enough to own truly exceptional cars buy them to drive them. Life is too short, it's just an object for your use.

You make very good points Oyagi...and they make sense. I do drive my car...just maybe not as much as I should. I take it out I think frequently but mostly short drives. As far as selling the car because of a kid...not going to happen unless we're on the verge of going broke or loosing the house. Wife knows that bit and she knows better than to challenge it. Just my bit of immaturity/irresponsible outlook I guess. I have a fairly successful business and my wife does quite well for herself too so not too worried about that...mods on the other hand are definitely not going to happen that often..lol.

Older thread but thought I'd update it. Finally decided to go with the 2000+ CT Engineering exhaust that I ended up ordering through Pro Import Tuner in Socal. Heard an exhaust clip (was hard to find!) and it sounds like what I was looking for. Now it's come down to a waiting game...anyone know what taxes and brokerage fees I'll have to pay on $1300 USD when I pick it up from UPS?

P.S

The exhaust clip was actually recorded by one of the sales staff and emailed to me. Now that's customer service!

Depends on a lot of factors - where the item was mfg'd, shipping cost, weight, size, weather on the day it was shipped, what phase the moon is in when it arrives. In my experience via UPS it may be very pricey to have them clear it through customs.

http://www.ups.com/content/ca/en/shipping/cost/zones/customs_clearance.html

check that, and then there's a guide to their brokerage rates at the bottom of the page. Brace yourself for the worst, it may be up to a few hundred dollars all told. Then again, I've had friends ship via UPS to Canada and pay little to nothing on expensive items.

If shipping with UPS it's best to keep it within the USA and ship to a place across the border like CBI USA and drive down to get it yourself. You can save big big $ on big purchases, or if you buy a lot from the US. Also most places do free shipping within the contig 48 via UPS.

hope that helps!
