New Acura Dealership in Maine

I believe I posted something along these lines in another thread on Prime—still navigating my way—and let me be clear that this is NOT an ad nor do I have any affiliation other than being a friend of the owner (although I did not buy the car from him; see my introductory post elsewhere for a brief explanation) and a customer. Briefly, I bought this splendid 2021 NSX which only had 500 on the odometer—I’ve since put on 1,180—from Acura Ramsey (NJ) about 4 months ago). Patriot Acura in Scarborough, Maine opened last month—lucky me!—and I have lent them my car for the winter. It’s a win-win. It is one less car for me to tend to (tender to ) and the dealer gets to display Acura’s halo car under their halo light!

I paid a hefty $7,500, on top of the purchase price of the car, to make my NC1 Acura Precision Certified. While it only had 500 miles on the clock my buddy had a friend with an NC1 which had to have the engine replaced…to the tune of, if I heard it correctly…$125,000? Don’t quote me on that but it did give me pause and reason enough to plunk down $7,500 for a bit more warranty and piece of mind.

But it does include my first oil change free!

I am hoping my friends at Patriot Acura in Scarborough will allow me to also park my as-yet-to-be-bought Gen-1 next winter which I am still on the look out for (which will likely not come from BaT due to crazy high prices) so if anyone here knows of someone looking for a “forever home” for their car, you know where to find me.
