New 1994 RED Re-assemble

Re: New 1995 RED Re-assemble

Shawn I have hook ups with towing, hit me up I can save you time and money. I think it's crazy to waste 18hrs towing when you could be sleeping, cleaning an NSX, racing an NSX or just simply sitting in your garage viewing many nsx'rs Lol

Re: New 1995 RED Re-assemble

I might have missunderstood Brylek....but my point was that the green 94coupes had green roofs as the exception.I think honda felt the green/black combo would look a little weird.

It's my fault, I didn't read the Wiki page carefully enough.

Re: New 1995 RED Re-assemble

Re: New 1995 RED Re-assemble

Looks like a 1994 to me!

Exhaust is a Tubi Style (aka Tubi) exhaust. Tubi is best known for their Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini exhausts and the ones for the NSX are pretty rare and pretty desirable.

Re: New 1995 RED Re-assemble

I wonder if the owner would part with it LOL

I like rare items

Re: New 1995 RED Re-assemble

I know I look at it and I am like damn it man it needs to be lowered

thats stock height though what was honda thinking.

Re: New 1995 RED Re-assemble

with all the 94 or 95 confusion, could you look at the VIN and it'll tell ya exactly? owner said 95, car's manual said 94, etc..etc.. just sayin.

Re: New 1995 RED Re-assemble

I thought the owner said 95 I must have been mistaken

but i looked up the VIN its a 94

the pic of the owners manual was kinda a joke.

Re: New 1995 RED Re-assemble

yeah I asked the mods to change the title of this thread to 94

it was my fault

I wonder how that bad boy sounds?

Re: New 1995 RED Re-assemble

I dont know but I wanna get her running like now LOL

I am sure it sounds nice

Re: New 1995 RED Re-assemble

For the record, 1994 brooklands green NSX came with black tops.
I know because I painted my b pillars to match car. In 95 they went to targa tops. From my understanding 95 and up will have colored tops/targa.

GOOD LUCK.

Welcome to post #13 of this thread my friend.

Apparently you just changed one of the rarest color combinations just like the others by painting it. :frown:

You had one of 9 of the original 1994 Brookland Green NSXs with the black tops. The other 141 from 1994 had the tops that were body colored according to the NSX Wiki and production numbers. :frown:

Re: New 1995 RED Re-assemble

With no intentions of ever selling it I'm happy with the change. It was number 10 of that year. I guess wiki is not always right.[ QUOTE=Brylek;1636837]First 9 greens were with black roof, the rest were body colored. (B-pilars were painted not roof, to revert back wouldn't be a problem.)

Re: New 1995 RED Re-assemble

You towed that car 9 hours with the rear wheels on the ground? Um, Not a good idea.

See page 1-9 of the service manual. If a flatbed is not available you should always tow with rear wheels off the ground. If not possible, a total of 50 miles and 35mph is the restriction. Transmission damage is probable.

Agreed....not a good idea to dolly it.

The first 9 green cars came with black roof, the last one has the vin ending with 000031, all other green cars manufactured after that had green roofs. If your car has a vin ending with 000010 then it means it was number 10 manufactured for that year and it is definitley one of the first 9 green cars.

I think what Brylek is trying to say is that your NSX is the 10th NSX of the 1994 model year (regardless of the color).
Basically he's saying that the production line didn't do all Green NSX's sequentially but rather there were Red cars, White cars, Silver cars and black cars mixed in between. Vin xxx0001 was probably a red car, xxx0002 was probably black... etc etc.

So even though your NSX is the 10th NSX of 1994, it' probably the 1st or 2nd NSX that was painted in Green for that model year.
The Wiki states that the the last green with a black roof is Vin xxx0000031. Since your car is before xxx000031 you definitely have one of the 9 cars with the black roof.
