Used to have 17"/18" HRE 540 but decided to get something new. The 590R only come in 18"/19" so I had to go up in size. I haven't had them on long enough to tell if I'll suffer in handling by moving up, but I sure like the new look! Now I am trying to decide if I need side skirts and if so, which ones?
What do you guys think?

I'll post more pics later.

I personally like your old 540s better but with HRE rims, they are all beautiful. Maybe I'm biased since I have a Spa Yellow with HRE 540 series wheels!

I think you should just lower your car little bit more, so you cant see any gaps between tyres and fenders. Your car will look totally diferent.

Looks good. What is the weight? I've got the 547R 18/19. I love 'em. I think they make the car look very sexy; all HRE wheels do.

Blurb On HRE's - my observations, other owners, feel free to chim in -

Surprisingly, and contrary to popular opinion, as well as my initial non-nverified opinion, my HRE's are of modest weight, dare I say light. The 18 if I remember, is 48 LBS WITH Michellin PS2s, and the 19s WITH same tires is about 50.5 -52.5 ( Can't remember, slightly above 50 lbs)

Comparatively, my 17GTC with Potenzo RE-01R (SUPERB tire), weights about 52 lbs (for sure), and the 18 weights around 54 or so.

I don't know about the other HRE's, but anyone concerned about weight should make sure they have scientific evidence for it.. which was something I didn't do on my part initially.

Back to the thread - looks good!

Thanks, I know that these are lighter than my old HRE wheels. I had the car at my local dealership (Acura of Brookfield) yesterday and they commented on the fact that these are great because of their look and that they are not that heavy compared to stock.

Like I stated before, I just liked the look and I am hoping I won't suffer in any way like handling or wear on suspension.

On that note, in response to the comment that I should lower the car more... I have Eibach Pro-Kit springs on it and I don't think in my city I should go any lower.

Thanks

Very nice. I'm impressed how good chrome looks on yellow.
