Litespeeds said:Hard to believe by changing to Redline synthetic tranny and gear oil will free up about 15 horsepower. I might believe about 5 but that is even pushing it. As for your times, it is very good as you almost got under a 2 second 0-60'. Your miles per hour is a little slower so that shows your true horsepower. But then again, you did mis-shift so that could be the reason.
When I bought my car used, it came with everything on it. I am not sure if you will notice a little improvement with intake and clutch/flywheel combo. Going 1-2 tenth of a second faster or 1-2 miles per hour faster through the traps is hard to tell by the seat of your pants. Only way is to take it to the strip and find out. I have since added Comptech headers and the Cantrell AIS intake scoop so when I get a chance, I will see if my car is any faster. The other thing is I am a 200 lbs guy so that also influences the performance.
Yeah!!.. It's hard for me to believe too. But, he told me that he ever saw the DYNO prove from a Magazine. Anyway, I am going to go ahead and change the trans oil and differential oil too see if there is really different. as soon as i got the result, I'll let you know..^_^... ( I changed redline oil, it seems smoother. but i am not sure if this is because of psychological factor )
