per Sales and Technical assistance at StopTech... (I was questioning the bed-in procedure, see, I've been there and I understand you are more confused than ever since everyone tried pull you in diff. direction. I also had the Axxis Ultimate pads at the time)
a set of 10 60-10mph braking with increasing force... then drive 15-25 mins highway driving with no brakes apply (if possible.) That's for cooling down the rotor and pads.
Second set of 60-10mph braking, now with firm hard braking (but before ABS engage) Remember when you do your set of brakings, YOU DO NOT want the brakes had the chance to cool down. After second set, just as Ken said, drive home without using the brakes.. if you decided to cool it down with 10 mins driving, it should not be a problem.
If you do that, you should smell the brake pads either at the end of the first set, or in middle of second set. You might also engage ABS accidentally due to irregular roads surfaces. Don't worry, just be prepared that in case ABS came out, release real fast...
Now get some sleep and do it in the morning... I did the bed-in one time after the whole day track event, dinner, went home and cleaning wheels, swapping back to street pads... I almost threw up when I was done with the bed in, and that's with windows down blowing cool breeze to me..
I think somehow between what me and nsxtasy suggestions, someone should edit it a little and put it in FAQ.
