A bubble has developed on the surface of my Audi. What you are looking at is the corner of the plastic spoiler above the rear hatch window. About two weeks ago, I notices a raised bubble in the clear coat. It has since flattened out and increased in diameter to that of a dime. The surface appears unbroken. What is the best treatment to keep it from spreading?

I thought about carefully cutting away the raised clear film with an exacto knife, masking a circle a bit larger, and spraying it with clear coat from a can.

Any other ideas? Perhaps leaving it alone may be best,

Thanks

How much longer do you intend to keep the car?

There will probably be other bubbles.

One option is to sand off the bubble, scuff the entire panel, then re-clearcoat it. But as stated, it will probably bubble in other areas.

If you haven't done this type of work before, you're better off just leaving it alone. Take it to a bodyshop and ask what they think.
