Why not have them both I say! If you can't beat them for god sakes have enough sense to join them.

I would love to see this every morning when I walk into my garage!

It's not even a question of "How fast the NSX can go but How much money are you willing to spend??".

Does anybody know how fast can a CRX go If I spend $30k to modify it?

i've seen a crx hit 160 mph trap speed in 1/4 mile with about $15k worth of mods

Every day I wake up and pray that my car is faster than the night before. I too feel that the NSX has slipped away in the HP wars. I even have a 70 shot of NOS with gears, headers, exhaust,… and I still want more power. If NOS was free, or the bottle lasted a little longer, I could probably live with kicking it up to a 100 shot and burning through a bottle a day. However, this is not reality.

I find myself lurking on Supra, Evo and Sti boards, looking to possibly dump my car for a car that has more power, or can have more power with a twist of a knob and an ECU reflash. However, I can’t pry my hands from my car’s steering wheel. The one thing that keeps me in my NSX is the way it makes me feel when I drive it (even slowly). No other car (that I can afford) makes me feel the way my car does. I feel like a damn celebrity with all the rubber necking going on. So, with that said, if I was to lose a race against a Civic with 8 turbos, 300 shot of nawz, ironing board rear wing and a trash can size muffler. I feel that coming in second place in my car is still a much better place to be.

Now don't get me wrong!! When I win the lottery, I will ship my car to ??? and have the biggest and baddest turbo setup installed. I will then reclaim the ass whooping rights I so feel the NSX deserves on the streets. However, since the chances of that happening are slim to none, and slim just died, I will just buy a second car that satisfies my need for big power.

Enjoy what you have!!

It would be great if you could post your results after your first track day. Maybe I've been grossly underestimating the CTSC power deliver in the high end.

As for Nitrous, well I don't really consider that a reliable source for added HP. More or less a temporary solution.

SO, 11.7 1/4 mile isnt a viable source for added power.from your posts you sound like you 'want' it on the street not the raceways:and if it is a race way its a drag track

Ok, I had to get in on this one. First off the NSX is not a slouch in the 1/4 mile, period. I own a 2002 NSX that runs 11.4's with 100 shot nitrous in the 1/4 mile on street tires, off the nitrous it still runs 12'3s. Here is the most current thread on this:
http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66228

I am on my 5th NSX. the 2002 is the faster of the 5. It is the first 3.2 NSX I have owned. 2 of my other NSX had a bit of work done to them. Best runs on my NA1's where 12.2's on street tires. I have NEVER lost a 1/4 mile race, from a dead stop, in my NSX. Yes I have lost 2-3 races from a 80-90 roll to the dreaded Z06 and highly modified LT1's, but they loose to me in a 1/4 mile race every time. Funny thing is even the fast of the fast highway cars, still may loose to my NSX at the very top end due to gearing. I have seen 184 on my NSX, it still had a few MPH in it and I still did not use Nitrous.

So if someone asked me how do I go faster in my NSX this is what I would say.

1. loose weight, as much as possible
2. IHE, there are many options some better than others, that is another thread in it's self.
3. 5 speed cars need gear set and 4.235 with an LSD, 6 speed cars need the 4.235 only
4. 75-100 wet shot NX nitrous kit

THATS THE DEAL or you can spend 9k on a s/c do the math. sounds like you get stepped to and get smoked on the street correct me if I am wrong and its at the track (even worse) sorry but I am a die hard n20 guy and what it seems like you need, gears and n20 will do it with the diet.
Best Regards Dave

Sorry I meant by stating that Nitrous was not a reliable source, is nitrous needs to be constantly refilled and is not always at your beckon call whenever and wherever you may need it-due to the fact you are limited by the size and amount of bottles you have.

Unlike FI applications or even NA tuning, nitrous runs out. Plain and simple.

That's just my biased 0.02 opinion:biggrin:

Yes gas does run out. But unlike Nitrous, you can fill up pretty much anywhere, anytime. Nitrous on the other hand: you need to find a shop that refills nitrous, you can't fill up anytime anywhere you want to.

If your out on a spirited drive with your friends/club and just happen to run out of happy gas, what are you going to do? go to the nearest gas station and ask if they refill nitrous?
