Need help with decision on K&N filter or Uni filter w/stock airbox and DF air scoop?

I found that the OEM filter actually doesn't fit properly in the CT airbox. How did you get it to fit? I had to trim mine...

I also had to trim the plastic frame on a paper filter to make it fit in the CT airbox. It wasn’t too hard though.
