Need help to install the Hella fog lights!

The connection should be like this:


- pin 87a ---> black wire from the lights
- pin 87 ---> connects to both grey wires from the lights
- pin 30 ---> connects to ignition
- pin 86 ---> connects to low beam power
- pin 85 ---> connects to ground
 
I'm not sure of the lighting regs in the US but in UK/Euroland it goes something like this......and how Hella anticipate/designed their use.

Basically the way the light should be used is on all the time once the ignition is switched on and off once the position/side lights are switched on....

I have HID headlights and LED sidelight bulbs so I think if I ever get these I'd wire them up to go off only when the main headlight are used, in otherwards keep them on with the sidelights...

There is no dimming function with these lights, just on or off. They look good, nice job
 
Mind you, these hella ledaytime only fit the pre-'02 bumpers. I have 2 new sets for sale if anybody is interested.

I installed the hella's and used outdoor (red) double sided 3m tape. The hold is strong.

no need to take the bumper off
