Need help taking off rear bumper

I JUST took mine off for a valence repaint - I can try to answer any questions that you have. I put it back on last night. For me the reinstall was actually easier and less time consuming than taking it off. Tail lights need to come out too, btw (perfect time to change the "Acura" to "NSX" in the center section! )

Lights do not need to come off.

as you can see by the service manual.

6 bolt/nut on each side behind the rear wheel

and 6 main bolt for the bumper. couple of them you have to get at from the trunk.

oh and electrical plug for the license plate frame.

No too bad of a job but removing the valence is another 20 screw/bolts...

eehhh, no they don't ..........

I assumed kouasupra is just needing his bumper cover off (for a repaint or whatever). It seemed much easier to just take the cover part off of the car - leaving the bumper bar and brackets still attached to the car. That would insure no allignment issues when it came time to reinstall. Also, I *think* most of that stuff (brackets & beam) would need to be taken off once the whole bumper was removed anyway - making more work (assuming it's for a repaint).
Since I was taking the lights out anyway it seemed easiest to just remove the 2 counter-sunk bolts which go into the upper frame (pg 20-61 of the '95 service manual) along with just a few other bolts and have the cover off by itself.
I don't know the purpose for which kouasupra is taking the bumper off. I assumed he just needed the cover part off, which is probably wrong on my part. So you all are correct - if he needs the entire bumper off the tail light do not need to come out

Let us know how you went about the removal and how it went

Well, I got lazy and didn't work on it until today. There are 2 bolts on each side, two screws at the bottom. I had to take out the lights :frown: There are screws that you'll see when you take off the lights. After this the bumper easily came off  Wait!!!! don't forget to take off the license light connector
