AAA has raised my rates of 3 cars, including the NSX from $4343 per year to $6713!!! And nothing has changed since then.

They are trying to rob me, so I going to switch to another insurance company, any recommendation?

I got a quote from Wawanesa and several other providers and no one even came close to Mercury, which I currently have. I have heard mixed reports on their service though, so you may be willing to pay more for better service reputation.
You can get a quote from AIS (insurance broker). You give them all your info and they shop it through their system, which is hooked up to a bunch of providers, and they give you the lowest quote. I've heard they started charging a fee, but when I used them years ago I got the same price as if I had applied directly to Mercury.
If my insurance cost even 1/2 what you were paying I wouldn't have bought the car. Damn.

i just completed the wawanesa online quote, i will have to wait until they send the results. thanks for the heads up guys

I've been happy with Geico...No middle man B.S. and was very impressed how fast and easy they handled my curb job claim($6900) Not too expensive either:biggrin:

The premium is certain an important factor, but the claim service is even more so. That is when you need them the most.

I wonder if Wananesa has good service? I heard Mercury is not that good. However, I have not used either.

I have not filed a claim with wawanesa, and I did have a bit of a struggle getting my 'aftermarket equipment' covered, but their rates were so low I had to do a double take and go online to make sure they were a real insurance company - literally I doubled my limits and they cut my premium in half - I pay a little under $150 a month for full coverage, with generous limits, aftermarket wheels, etc. for a 21 y/o with a red nsx.

Very true.

You can find ratings of auto insurance companies for various characteristics, including claims handling, in the most recent article about auto insurance in Consumer Reports in March 2006, which you can find in your local public library (New Jersey Manufacturers was rated first, Amica second). You can also see JD Power ratings of characteristics of auto insurers at http://12.155.133.142/cc/rd/cc/finance/ratings/auto_insurance/index.asp (Amica was rated highest)
