I've searched but didn't see a thread on it, can I get a roll call of all NA2 coupe owners (not counting Zanardi)?

Its gonna be a short list. Unfortunately I'm not on it.:frown: My dream has always been an NA2 coupe.

Checking in. And, if he's not on the boards, Larry B knows and services the Yellow NA2 coupe that was the tester for the mags back in the day.

I missed out on 2 NA2 coupes last year, one of which was 15 mins from me and the other is BlackTop99's now. I'll compile an updated list with vins and color, this should be fun!

I know there is only one 2001 GPW coupe..

If I recall there are 21, not including the 51 Zanardi's. I had a chance the buy the white 01 years ago and another red 01 but didn't like the tan interior. Glad I held out :)

1998 euro model here. Do you want to update your first post with a list ? do you need the color ?

Yes, if you can provide color and some details that would be great!

Yes, it is WhiteNSXs' car.

2 of which are inexplicably auto trans?
I'd love to know the though process behind those cars. Must be an interesting story there.

I'll tell you, White and Red are probably my least favorite colors (white and red owners, please don't blast me!!!) and tan interiors are not my cup of tea either. That being said, I would have bought either of those 2 coupes if they came up when I was looking without hesitation!

I think the only car I'd ever consider swapping for is the Monte Carlo 97 coupe; just for the rarity factor. I'd love to see what that car looks like in person.

As much as I dislike Monaco, I'd also buy the 1/1 in a heartbeat. I was lucky to see it in the flesh.

I believe these are one in the same.

1998 Formula Red / Tan - How it rolled off the assembly line.

1998 Formal Red / Black (Zanardi Protoype, McDork's) - How it was when it was auctioned by Honda.

This one would be the top of my list:

Now I'm confused, all lists show there was only one 98 Red / Tan, and your post led me to believe it was McDork's prototype, but then I found this link: http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/showt...0-Now-the-rest-of-the-story-JH4NA2160WT000037 to another 1998 Red / Tan coupe.

That VIN isn't for a 1998 coupe. It's for a 1998 NSX-T and if you plug it into carfax it shows this as well. Also, take a look at the 8th digit of the VIN decoder to see the actual build data.
http://www.nsxprime.com/nsx-faq/nsx-vin-information/

8th Digit trim level & restraint

2 = 1999 Zanardi Edition NSX coupe with manual steering
3 = 1997-2001 NSX coupe with power steering
5 = 1991-1994 NSX coupe with manual steering
6 = 1991-1994 NSX coupe with power steering or 1996 NSX Coupe with power steering or 1997-2005 NSX-T with power steering
8 = 1995-1996 NSX-T with power steering

I'd love to be able to check that car out in person someday. It looks pretty nice, but if that is the actual VIN it wasn't born a coupe.

ERZ cars put the car together I believe. Not sure if it was an older chassis or what the actual story is but it looks very clean/presentable overall.

The wiki is missing euro model info, i can confirm that:

8th Digit trim level & restraint
4 = 1997-2001 NSX coupe with power steering (euro model)

It has got the fog lights, extra switches on center arm rest, and slightly different side markers and rear lights (got an anti fog rear light too).

Thank you for the kind words. My car has a weird story about the vin, but after owning the car for almost 8 years. I can say it one of the best decisions I ever made. The car is mine, I love the car and I have no regrets at all. Always a pleasure meeting fellow NSX owners at car meets. I work crazy hour, so I try to make every car show I can.

Also when I bought the car I was not shall I say an NSX expert nor did I go on NSX prime. It was one of those things where I saw the car. Loved it and had to have it. Clean title in my name. On my insurance card it does say NSX-T. Is what it is.

Figured I'd post a shot of the car from right when I picked it up. She's been cleaned up since, but I haven't taken any pics yet. When I do, I'll update with something a bit better.IMG_20141211_171217.jpg

I wish I was the owner of the one and only 2000 Berlina black.:frown:

When I was searching for an NSX I originally wanted a black targa, but found my and jumped on it. Black when clean is so pretty. I like to think of my car as a Zanardi replica except for the interior. I think a Zanardi steering wheel would look sweet. Black and red are my favorite colors.

This car is AWESOME! Looks amazing.
