One week to the day after we brought it home, Dianne gathered her nerve and drove our new NSX a mile or two around neighborhood streets. She did great and I was impressed. I'd never seen her drive a stick before (although she'd assured me she could) in our 6 years together but she was smooth.
Right up until the end.
We'd pulled up into a friends driveway for our first stop and I told her to set the brake and put it in reverse, which she did. Then I said 'turn off the key' so she let out the clutch.
Oops, stalled in the driveway. Still and all I think she did great, actually making it to 40 mph or so in 3rd gear and generally driving like a pro. I've been drilling her in the proper ways to close each door, trunk/hood, hatch, etc and she's doing great. Thanks darlin'! Posted knowing she'll read this someday.
Who else gets to drive your car? Do you make them drive it *your* way?
