My Veilside NSX

Sorry, not a fan of it, but then i have never liked Veilside's work. I don't get the motivation to change the look of the NSX so much... if you dont' like the NSX look, why did you get one in the first place?

Anyway, glad you're pleased with it, that's what matters!

I love the nsx dearly, to the point I currently own 3 of them, I am working on one with an extreme veil side kit, one I'm leaving completely stock, n my last one I'm racing it all out. Just because u change the looks of the nsx it's always going to be an nsx but at a whole new level of appreciation.

New wheels (think Volk or advans), lower a tad more, paint rear diffuser part black & add head light covers.... oh, and put a turbo on it... and u got a bitchen car

I personally love 02+ oem nsx, so this is a lil hard to swallow.. but like said before, what ever makes you happy is what matters!

That sounds like a really evil machine! However, I love my rims and just removed the headlight covers, trust me, it looks way better! No turbo is going on this baby though, I don't need the lag. A supercharger is a better choice for me, or keeping it NA.

Hejsan,
What a beautiful ride you have created! My wife and I have a summer home in Ostersund, and will be coming home this summer to visit family.

Perhaps we can visit to meet you and see the car in person...please tell us what types of mods (stereo, engine, suspension) that you have added.

Hej! Thanks, but I can't really take the credit for the build since I'm not the builder. Olle Olsson built this car and I'm very greatful for his work. Of course you are welcome to see me and the car, but Stockholm (where I have the car) is a 6 hour drive from Östersund. But if you're going to Stockholm, let me know.

The car is almost stock, aside from the VS kit, VS rims, VS center exit exhaust and a K&N air filter. It's also lowered 20 mm.

damn thats a nice veilside i should be getting mine in early June.

Thanks! Get a build thread so we can see ^_^

Not my type of shoes. If you like it thats all its matter
Congrats to you

Thanks. It seems the VS kit is either a "love or hate" subject.

More pix please, can u take a pix where the door and fender meets.

Mine veil side is being built should be done by June

No more pictures for now, don't have any. More are coming soon. Good luck with your build!

OK, let's clarify for all who doesn't understand why some people rebuild their NSX's heavily (not just us VS owners):

  1. Let's first state that the NSX is NOT just looks. We all know this. The NSX is a hand built and a non-compromise supercar with superior handling capabilities with technology that impresses even to today's standards.
  2. The design originates from the late 80's. Nothing wrong with that, it's a very nice design for the car BUT it's outdated.
  3. The VS kit is The Ultimate Kit for us who doesn't settle with the original design and are craving for more of a modern super car look.
The NSX with the VS kit is the perfect car for me. It has the looks of a modern super car, handles like one and sounds like one but to a reasonable cost. It doesn't pull like one but that can be fixed and that is also very important to me, being able to modify, tune, style and do the service yourself without blowing the resale value. Building and modifying is almost as entertaining as driving it! It is also the perfect way to learn and understand the car and it's components.

I fully respect all NSX fans who wants to stick with the original design. To each their own.

Dear NSX'er, I have not really any "hate" for the Veiliside, I think it looks cool, but needs some polishing, actually, I have no problems with the front -is quite nice actually, and it doesn't look cheap- neither the sides ... is just the back the reallllllly gets my nerves, because IMO it seems like it takes the whole front and sides down the drain because -unlike the rest- the back -IMHO- has way to many I'm "trying to hard" to have creases and holes look .. still, I think that, with minor tweaks, your car could be even better if not perfect!

I see you point, Oscar and I agree. I'm not settling with the current design, I'm taking it a step further and I'm definately going to take your suggestion into consideration! With a design like that, the "Ferrari replica" look goes out the window (which is good, don't like that people thinks it's a Ferrari, which they often do). However, it looks better in yellow with that black rear =)

But, as I recently bought it, I'm going to dedicate this season to driving it, no mods are going into this car until next season. Just want to enjoy it!
