I had several business meetings scheduled for the last week in April in the Central Valley (Fresno and Bakersfield) and decided to take the NSX over my wifes 03 TL Type S. This road trip gave me an opportunity to get a feel of some of the modifications I had done since purchasing the NSX about 5 months ago. The mods include Comptech headers, exhaust, pro suspension, sway bars, strut bar, and cf airbox. I also installed the SOS coolant tank, SSR comps (17's and 18's) with SO3's. And for music I have a mini iPod playing through an Alpine HU.

The road trip was an amazing experience, I believe everyone should take their NSX out on at least one road trip to where its just you and the car. (I suppose if you want to take a significant other, that's your decision to make). Anyways, after the business meetings, I decided to drive the additional two hours to meet up with some family and friends in Orange County. I got a chance to meet up with CDX_NSX aka Graeme who I met on an Acura Legend board about five years ago. We had an opportunity to do some driving around Newport Beach, Corona Del Mar and Laguna Beach, by way of Pacific Coast Highway (PCH).

After the drive we ended up taking pictures near my hotel (see below)

On sunday I was able to attend the Eibach Open House. Randy aka FuryNSX took the pic below.

I left Monday morning to return home to the Bay Area and on my way up (a few miles North of the Grape Vine) I received an invitation to the Police Man's Ball scheduled for June 6th 2005.

In spite of the invitation to this years Police Man's Ball, I had a great time on this Road Trip and I look forward to doing another road trip sometime soon.

Mike,
Glad to see you log miles on your NSX  , did you get a chance to install the mask

Were you comfy driving 6 hours+ on the NSX? Welcome back, see you on Dyno day

Romeo... I put about 3000 miles on the NSX... The NSX was pretty comfortable with the Comptech Pro Suspension set at full soft. Although, I am considering the bilsteins and eibach set up to do a comparison between the two.

Yes, I will see you on Dyno day. Did you want to plan a meeting place for the NSX's in our area, so we can drive down together?

Mike

Hey Mike, glad you enjoyed the trip, I knew you would have fun, except for the personal invitation to the policeman's ball. I would imagine the suspension may soften up slightly after you put some miles on the system.

Remember we still have to hook up for dim sum soon.

Mike, It was great to meet you, thanks for driving down from the Bay Area. We ran in to more people then counted on at Eibach, it was great to meet you. Look forward to seeing you at NSXPO 2005. Gil

Gil,

It was great to meet you as well. I really like what you did with your NSX. I think it sits just right (can you remind me what the front and rear settings are with the Bilsteins.) and I really like the wheels too. I hope I can make it to NSXPO 2005 in Arizona, but we will have to see, as I have another commitment to participate in the Susan G Komen 3-Day Walk in San Diego.

Here are a couple of pics that I took of your NSX.

Mike, I have the Bilsteins and Eibach combo and love it, its not too stiff but aggressive enough for the track  .

We'll have to caravan for the Dyno, I should be @Krispy creme around 8am..wanna meet there

Hi Mike!

Glad to hear you are enjoying the car! For those that wonder, I drove my old white NSX the long way from Texas to the Bay Area on a 6 day road trip, and it was fine as far as comfort goes. On that trip, the longest was a 14 hour day, stopping only for gas, and it was great! I agree, every NSX owner should take it for a road trip at some point or other.

Nice pictures, but too bad I couldn't make it to the Dyno day.
