I like the brakes. That's it. Well the headlights are neat. But it looks like they chopped off the front of the Mitsubishi pickup and glued it onto whatever else.

Im not a fan of the new EVO at all, although I love the old EVO (8/9). Ive had a couple of them and they are overall fantastic cars. Where was that meet? Any more pics of some GST/GSX's. I was an original owner of a 1996 Talon TSI AWD and an overall huge DSM turbo fan.

I know it is a concept car, but most of the aspects of the car make me say, "Why" instead of "Wow".

Is it just me, or are more and more cars trying to look like trucks? One of the things lost from car designs from the 80's and 90's: sleek, low slung, svelte. Now it seems that everything looks like a R34 GTR: Refrigerator styling.

I didn't think it was possible, but they made the interior look ever cheaper!!

It looks more like an imitation of an Aston Martin to me (exterior with 12 inches of engine and hood cut off). The interior is a bit much, even for a concept car, and the tail-lights are over done, but the exterior styling is pretty sharp. If that car was on the market right now, I'd buy one (used of course). There are plenty of fugly cars on the road, and a lot more boring ones too. I just don't think this is either.

The best thing for me is not only can I fit my wife and two little ones in it, but she can also drive it (no clutch) if neccessary. Could be my next family/commuter car/daily driver!

Don't care for the current Evo design - looks like they had a 12 year old design it by slapping on as much body work as possible.

Now this...

Much cleaner and more integrated. Designed from the ground up. Very Audi like. No bulging hood appendages, no St. Louis arch wing, no bondo looking rear quarters. Me likes it very much.

And the fact that the current Evo owners and design fans hate it so much makes me like it even more!

:p

Not that I love the current EVO either, but I liken it to the 1980's E30 M3 EVO which had a similar wing, and similar bulges (albeit limited to the quarter panels and not the bulbous hood). I like the M3 EVO a *LOT*, Mitsu's new designs just don't do it for me.

But then again they are not going after my money either, I think I just aged out of their target market :frown:

I like it. I just have my doubts about Mitsubishi... I am always concerned about the build quality. That alone will probably keep me out of one.

The car looks bad ass though. I will keep an open mind and see how they are rated once it is out for a model year or so.

Is that big clunky thing the shifter??

And those harnesses look unsafe. . . they're mounted too low which would cause an unsafe downward compression of the spine if they ever got into an accident.

I know its just a concept but it doesn't quite do it for me. EVO's are so fat and pudgy, and this isn't much of an improvement. Its also not very aerodynamic looking either. They might as well have strapped a wall onto the front of the car. However, it does look better than the redesigned alfa-romeo inspired Michael Jackson nose looking STi front fascia.

though I'm no expert, but it had something to do with the pedestrain law that a lower, sharp front end will be more dangerous.

Well at least that makes sense as to why. But have you seen Lambo's and Ferrari's their front ends are pretty pointy:cool:
