I've compile a short list of some modern conveniences which I've taken for granted until I drive my NSX. As she slowly evolves into a dedicated track car, these features become almost irrelevant.

However, here's a list to demonstrate just how outdated she's become..

Factory Navigation (DVD-based, touch screen)
TPM (tire pressure monitors)
Push button start
Keyless Go
Heated & cool front seats (with massage)
BackUp Camera
Laser guided cruise control
Voice command/recognition (hot chick voice)
multi-function steering wheel
front/rear parking controls
self-lowering suspension
DVD entertainment package
XM, Sirrus, iPod integration
windshield wiper rain sensors

Other than that, she's still a keeper:wink: .

LOL...

Seriously my new Jeep SRT8 has more options than my new NSX...I don't care though as I really enjoy the scarcity of options on the NSX. Do I need them - NO!

You can get 99.9% of those options from the aftermarket :)

And add another 100lbs to the car...lol

maybe but to update it, for some its worth it...

I dont need parking sensors or massages in my seats... heating and cooling would be nice and the start button would be nice too ;)

You forgot to mention the Home Link garage door opener...

you can get that built into an aftermarket rear view mirror, that also has a compass and auto dimming :)

NO kidding!!! My new SUV will do just about anything but cook you dinner.

Just crazy how fast technology's moving. Think about it, would you still use the same cell phone three years ago?

What's worse is my 1999 Impreza has more options than the NSX. Such items being outside temperature display, barmoter display (kind of useless), power folding mirrors for parking and the previously mentioned heated seats. I wish they were at least options on the NSX.

Factory Navigation (DVD-based, touch screen) - Why? Looking for the shortest route? I never do when I am driving my NSX...
TPM (tire pressure monitors) - OK, but not really a "must have"
Push button start - It is quicker to just turn the key and start
Keyless Go -
Heated & cool front seats (with massage) - This is for your daily drive, not the r&r weekend car
BackUp Camera - To watch the faces of those you just passed?
Laser guided cruise control - Does not support "active driving" so it is really not needed..
Voice command/recognition (hot chick voice) - The only sound you need, is the sound of VTEC
multi-function steering wheel - It is, except I cannot control the tapedeck from it.
front/rear parking controls - You are supposed to only park in your garage.
self-lowering suspension -
DVD entertainment package - For those in the back seat? Or when you are parked in your garage?
XM, Sirrus, iPod integration - Again, the only sound you need is the sound of?........right, VTEC!
windshield wiper rain sensors - You never drive the NSX in rain anyway

(No disrespect, we just have different motivation for having the NSX I guess.)

nope.....the new cars don't have keys. Just get in and push the button:cool:

Yea like the Lexus IS350... they have the key fob you put in your pocket, and you never have to take it out!

Also another feature would be nice, which is like the Lexus,

Proximity keyless (RFID) - This would be so nice on the NSX!

When I had my lexus in the shop they'd give me an IS250 or IS350 as a loaner car. You'd never have to take the key fob out of your pocket. As you walk up to the car and put your fingers behind the door handle, doors unlock just before the door opens.... pretty nice feature.

Well, actually, I have little to no experience with just about ANY of those modern conveniences.
The company car I had a while a go had the multi-function steering wheel with which I could control the radio and CD-player, but that was about it.

All the other things you mention actually have little to nothing to do about being a CAR. And the rest is just a heap of electronics that could literally be added to ANY car ever made, provided you would take the time to install them properly.

The only that would be on my list is an upgraded stereo with a touch-screen with doubles as a nav-system. In fact, I am considering a nav-system right now (my first). With an upcoming trip to the Ring and prices around 200 Euro for a decent portable system it might be just handy (and light  ) enough to add to the car.
AAMOF, I think that most build-in nav-systems are WAY overpriced. But they do look nice of course. And nice is just what most people look for these days.

What do you need all that crap for. If any thing I wish it did not have power windows and all that crap it does have. I want it to be 2800 bls stock.

I actually wish it didn't even have power seats. Unnecessary weight for a car in which you probably rarely adjust the seat positions. A digital trip counter/odometer to replace the very old counter we have could have been a nice upgrade by say.. 1995. lol

also lacks some basic level guages for the headlights... how the hell do you know your adjustment is spot on? you cant always eyeball everything...
