Hey, don't rub it in too much. I'm trying to see if the Hawaii NSX guys want to get together maybe sometime in December;)

I still got you guys beat being here in San Diego, save for the crazy frie that is going on.

Its 77 degrees here in Miami. But, then again I have an affinity for those Canadian snow bunnies. YUM. Hmm, but then again as a Jamaican, I am mighty allergic to the cold.

Don't do it!! buy a set of cheap 91-93 OEM rims .. put snow tires on them and keep enjoying it. We got part of the same storm today in Regina .. who cares .. I'm on my third Sask winter and we get the same stuff as you. Look at my Avatar .. that's not flour on my driveway!!

My X goes in the garage for the Winter next week. I feel your "pain." At least you get a break on insurance, right? I look at it as a mileage-saver, as I like to keep the miles low. I'll look forward to Summer, though!

You've definitely proven the NSX can be a competent daily driver in our cold prairie winters. I thought a while about doing just what you suggest, then decided against it. I reason that I don't demand the car to be a daily driver and would rather ensure it makes it through the winter in as good a condition as possible by avoiding paint damage from all the sand and gravel that get dumped on the roads all winter. I will try to keep my hands off the car until the car can be driven the way I like to drive it but we'll see... :) (first winter with the car for me). If I find I can't stand letting it just sit, I'd likely to do what NCC-1701D suggested and reinstate insurance coverage for a few days once or twice in the winter when a chinook blows thru and melts the snow.

Do you have an acute, anaphylactic reaction? Or is it a slow reaction not requiring medical assistance?

:D :D

I have the same reasons for avoiding the roads in the winter. I hate all the junk they put down in the winter, our streets are so dirty until the first good rain of the spring. At least they don't use salt anymore.

I do however, make sure I get the car out at least once a month to keep the seals from drying out. In Colorado, there is always a few nice days a month, and there are some roads near my house that don't have much traffic, so I don't have to worry about anyone kicking up rocks, sand, etc.

I've actually thought about moving to a more NSX friendly climate...
