I'm now an official NSX Specialist, just got back from Ohio...

The track looks very short and twisty not very long straights seems to be a theme of tracks the new NSX has been on what top speed were you able to achieve there.

Would that be because Honda doesn't want relatively inexperienced drivers going so fast on a long straight that they may get in trouble?
Makes sense to give the new drivers a taste of cornering, braking and acceleration without having someone go off the track at 150 +mph.

correct, I think the fastest we got it up to was 90-100. The pro drivers probably 110 on the hot laps.

I also think the car's point and shoot persona is best suited to tracks like this and Thermal. You'll notice on the early reviews at Sears Point the feedback wasn't so good, though in fairness the car has been updated since then.

would it be that hard to up the boost a little to get another 30-40 hp so the total crosses the magic 600...

So it sounds like you were able to play around in track mode? I will be there on the 17th. Looking forward to it. Was just hopeful that we would be able to track them without much restriction. Too bad they are on the Contis!

The instructors determined the restrictions based upon your driving level. You'll start the morning driving the test track in the current Acura sedan lineup, really long day but really cool.

Seems like a good way to do it! Looking forward to it!

Might I make one suggestion, as I should have planned my trip better. Plan on taking an Uber from the hotel to the Honda Collection Hall, half hour ride and you can bundle it up with the factory tour as well. Super disappointed I didn't plan ahead.

is Vasos going?

Tell John hello from me too, great guy.

My brother drove at the same event and left very impressed with the NSX. He said he did like it better than the 911 Turbo too. He wasn't too excited about the car until he saw it in person.

He works for Norris Acura in MD

Thanks Pinkerton

More MidWest folks

I spoke with your shop but they did not have an allocation for me.

I went with another friendly WI dealer instead of the Market Adjustment oriented stealerships around Chicago

How was the engine noise? The car seems desperate for an aftermarket exhaust from seeing it in person and hearing them rev it.

I agree. It sounds as though bubbles fly out of the tips when you feed it gas...

Also, with the electric motors, does it feel anything like driving a tesla?

I didn't put it in QUIET mode, TRACK mode was just too much fun.

I thought it sounded amazing, I can honestly say there is nothing I didnt like about the car. Not 1 thing.
