Here is the latest addition to the family once I jump through all the hoops with BATF and stuff. HK MP5 with A3 stock, surefire forearm, aimpoint scope, 3 lug barrel, paddlemag and 3 position ambidextrous navy lower.

Will add a Gemtech suppressor once our Attorney General clarifies his recent change in opinion on class 3 weapons in Michigan.

For all you gun lovers in MI, it's time to go full auto!!

The new wheels and tires for the NSX got put on hold, these machine guns are pretty pricey!!

Rah Rah America..

I know that everyone has differing positions on civilians owning ANY firearms, but IMO, this is one of the things that your country, our great friends, have gotten very very wrong.

Pull 100% of the guns off the street and the world would be a much better place.

Spa S2000,

The problem is and always will be that the criminal element in any society will get guns no matter what laws are applied. If not guns than some other weapon.

There is a large number of law abiding citizens that enjoy shooting and collecting various firearms. That is part of being a citizen of the great United States of America!! Not many people can or are willing to pay the price(in dollars) that I have to own this type of weapon.

Wow..Awesome!..Are you saying that civillians will be allowed to own Class 3 in Michigan?

You have a very good taste with your toys. I sold my HK94s and AR15M4s when I move to Cali and I missed it dearly.:frown:

NsXmas,

M4's rock! I also have AR15, AR180, HK91, HK93, FN-FNC, HK P7M8, FN 5.7 and Glock 22.

My next FA will be in .223-probably FNC since they are reasonably priced at about $7,000.

You can never have too many guns!!

Yep!!! I can't believe it either. It will NEVER happen in your state I bet!! We will probably be able to get suppressors too!! Heck any pre 1986 registered MG is okay, including M2 .50 cal heavy machines and mini-guns!!

I like shooting guns too, and I certainly believe that you guys are respectful with the guns that you own, but I guess I just dont understand why it is a person needs to own a machine gun.

Regardless, have fun with them and be careful.

There has been a marked increase in the number of guns on the streets of Toronto during the last 2 years. Our city of 5 million had about 60 murders last year, and almost half of those were gang related shootings. Its gotten dangerous here too and everyone blames the criminals with guns.

Like I said, be careful and have fun with them.

Thanks for the comments. I always put safety first thus the large gun safe when my kids got old enough to get the keys and open the doors in the basement!!

I have always been a huge gun fan and wanted an HK MP5. Shooting short burst of rounds and full clips is just plain fun!!

It's too bad that gun violence is increasing in the great city of Toronto. I'm not far from you in the greater Detroit area and work with a lot Canadians who have similar gun views as yourself.

Unfortunately in this day and age, you almost have to carry a weapon to protect yourself and your family.

gheba,

I was going to point out that every Swiss citizen is GIVEN a automatic Sig rifle(or two)!! The semi-auto version of your gun(551) is $12,000+ in the USA.

Too bad you guys always stay neutral on world issues and will never have a chance to use them!!

But we use them a lot :)... every year we have a mandatory session at the stand with a minimum required score. Now that I think about it I only have some week left to do mine... :(

Furthermore we do a 2-3 weeks (until 40 years of age), again EVERY year, full military training. Sometime I really think it is too much...

PS: interesting that even with 2-3 millions automatic guns (officiers get a SIG P220 pistol) we rank among the lowest countries for armed assault/homicide per capita.

Why do you NEED to own an NSX?

Anywho, i love your MP5. I have not gotten to shoot one since the military :(

You have a great country there!! See what happens when you give an informed intelligent country firearms-nothing!!

I was joking that you don't get to use them besides practice!

mine's bigger!

I think civic-defence requirement in some form or capacity is a positive thing for national involvement. My friend from Greece had to do 2 or so years in some military branch once he finished college in the US.

Well said. Die Schweiz lacks narcotic trafficing & distribution, illicit drug production & consumption, organized crime syndicates & gangs, sizable minority populace in poverty, etc'... all these things amplify the presence of guns when there is an associated violent event. I'm sure if shark's w/ laser-beams were available, they'd be the weapon of choice over guns for criminal use. Popularity of guns amongst those w/ malice intentions is not due to their availability, but moreso due to their effectiveness. Bats, knives, swords, numchuckus, and fists aren't nearly as efficient...

On topic, what was the type of weapon in that video on 'Prime months ago that had a young girl firing fixed machine-gun into a field and there were other semi-automatic/automatic weapons used... the gun in question I'm asking about appeared to be a black hand-gun (9mm or 45caliber style) w/ an extended clip nearly double the length of the hand-grip and it emptied the complete clip in one pull of the trigger?!?

That's okay, because you don't have to worry about all us idiot yaehoos running around blasting each other. Just the crooks in Toronto, Canada. Too bad those crooks have nothing to worry about like we have down here; Law obiding citizens who have a conceal cary permit.

Zman, I want some video of that thang.

I didn't see the video, but sounds like a Tec 9.

I shouldnt have said anything, but I absolutely do not believe that you're idiots nor do I believe you are yahoos. I understand your interest in guns and like I said, I have enjoyed shooting guns myself (just 22s) in the past.

I realize that it is the person holding the gun that does the killing, but Id rather that person not have access to any guns. Perhaps Im hypersensitive after gang shootouts have started to occur in highly populated shopping locals here, but I am thankful for Canada's strict gun laws. I wish they were more strict infact.

That said, those are some cool looking guns you guys have. Ive always wanted to visit a shooting gallery to give some of these a try when I visit states with such things. Next time, I will definately try! Not sure Id like my neighbors to have guns, but I sure would like to fire off some rounds. Im sure its a riot.

KGP - you guys can have a permit to carry a machine gun (or sub?) around? Have you or anyone you know ever be thankful that youve had a gun on hand?

I know. Just pulling your chain a bit. I should have included an emoticon before.

No, not fully automatics.
Yes to the other part. And now that I think about, I have been thankful myself, but probably not in the way you are thinking (having to draw it).

I supose if it is truely a matter of protecting oneself and family, there is nothing that I wouldnt do myself.

Hope it never comes to that for any of us.

Play safe :D

I'm SO JEALOUS:biggrin: !! That is just beautiful, I just picked up a HK P2000 .40 as my daily  not to long ago and well...... did I mention I'm Jealous?
