My latest exterior mods

Thanks for the comments guys.

Its amazing the reaction I hear with the BBS's. Some people say they're too old skool for the car, others (like me) loves the motorsports and upscale looks. I really liked how they turned out but I suddenly realized I needed 18" on the front so they had to go. I think I had them on my car for 20 miles before they got sold. I'm hoping the new owner will post pics soon of them on his RED nsx.

The exhaust is a Ark DTS with a pair of larger diameter tips welded on. I'm actually swapping this out for the Taitec center-exit, which goes with the diffuser better.

Hey John love the new look, COPY CAT!!!:-p

Peter:biggrin:

Hey, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

If I really, REALLY wanted to copy you I'd have to spout that nice head of hair you got

Hey John, R those toyo u have on a good track tires? With our size it really is hard to find a set of good sticky tires likt the Advan A048.

Thanks for any feed back.

I've seen those gold wheels in person from the local bay area owner - they looks REALLY sharp on a black car which I think both of you guys have :)

The 18/19 Volk CE28 really bring out the aggressiveness of your car.

I did not like the other rims you had (Volk TE's were ok)

Glad to see your kids enjoying the car with you :)

Hey Peter,

I can't give you any personal reviews of these tires yet as I've only driven the car like 12 kms since having them on.

I found this though: http://www.1010tires.com/tirereviews/Toyo_Proxes_T1R_tire_reviews.html

I had Yoko A048 and Advan Neovas on my old Skyline GTR and apparently these T1Rs are comparable more to the Neovas, maybe a step down.A048s are phenomenal tires but wear too quickly for my wallet. Neovas have a stiffer sidewall IMHO and less noisy and wore better...a much better street tire. From what I've read the T1Rs should be about the same.

You're such a track nut you really need to size down an inch and go with Hoosiers. Gimme a call about the TE37's!

18/19 are the hottest looking combo but they really kill the ride and driving experience. Tough trade off, hopping into the Zanardi after a run in the 92 is like getting adjusted to a new car:frown: That's why you need multiple sets. Im down to the normal # of Volks setup, 4:biggrin: All tire/rimmed combo's for easy access:biggrin:

AP Racing kit was installed yesterday at KVR here in Ottawa. This kit was developed by Terry at KVR with RM Racing. Now its carried by SOS. First time I stopped I thought my eyeballs here going to pop out of my skull!

Aside from a new centre-exit exhaust, I am happy to say I am just about done with my project. Time to sit back and (finally) enjoy the ride!

Love the wheels.
BTW - don't you need a Super GT wing to be a member of TopEnd?

Haha, no! Its really just a social group that just happens to center around NSX owners. A lot of the members have long since sold their NSX and are now in other cars (gtrs, Porsches, F-cars, Hummer). I'm probably gonna swap the BYS wing for an NSX-R style whenever I find a buyer.

Thanks for the comments :)

I think those copper BBS were HOT.....

I want to see those in person. I have been keeping a look out for a set of gold ones.

Oyagi-

The evolution of your car has been incredible! Good work on the progression and I agree with most of the reply's that the CE's look the best with how the car presently sits.

I'll be back in Canada 3 times next year so I'll look you up as I'd like to see the car. Is there a noticable difference over stock with the BBK? Its something that I've always wondered if the cost justifies the difference...

Congrats and continue as you are...

The new brakes are a night and day difference, but I won't be able to really tell until its been thru a full day at the track. Then I can evaluate responsiveness, feel, and fade. So far its been a night a day difference in that you stop RGHT NOW when the pedal is applied. Its very direct and takes some getting used to. Also, its not liking bumper to bumper traffic where it squeals like a Mac truck, but at least it gets attention!

Its funny. Most young people I know love the Volks, old and nw ones. The older guys gravitate towards the BBS. I absolutely love LMs, and have wanted a set for a very long time. It broke my heart to have to sell them. Very unique wheels, and I hope the new owner takes good care of them.

althought i love the CE's and TE's, i think the BBS set looked the best on the car...not only because of the color either. and i'm young. does that mean i have good taste? haha.

How are the front fender liners with the 225 tires? I'm planning to replace mine but worried with the current 225 tires I have in front they might tore off the liners.

So far so good. In everyday driving there's been no issues at all. However, I wonder myself what will happen on the track when I've gotthe suspension fully loaded in a corner...
